Miyama Milk 美山牛乳
When you come to visit Nantan district you might notice this product called Miyama Milk written 美山牛乳. They are the local specialty produced in Miyama-cho. From generation to generation the district carefully raised milk cows in this region. The milk is produced from the local farms in the district and its daily production is limited to just 3 tons on average. The cows in the farms are carefully grown in the dairy farms in Miyama-cho and the production of the milk is carefully handled with hands of workers in this area. Miyama-cho distributes their products in neighboring areas in Nantan district as well as some areas in Fukui prefecture and some shops in Kyoto city. They also provide variety of products made from this milk such as pudding, yogurt, soft creams, cream puffs etc. You would realize the quality of this organic milk rich in flavor and creamy texture that can never be matched by any other type of dairy products.
