The service was lacking, they used to be really attentive, maybe a change of owners...? Once seated took quite a while before we were approached for our drinks order, took even longer before they arrived albeit with 2 drinks missing which we had to ask for twice. One of our jugs of water had a funny taste, different from the other so we got that changed which was fine. The waitress came over with another tables starters. The food was very nice which we did enjoy. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Wonderful place to dine in. A 5/5 stars for hospitality and customer service. Hygenic atmosphere with quality food with etnic Indian cusine and options. Located pretty much in the heart of the city so easy to access although, parking vehicles could be challenging during peak hours. But overall, one of the best Indian reataurants I've been to in New Zealand. P.S. Restaurant.: You may want to reconsider using food color in fried items as formulating just the batter and spices right will add to the authenticity. Also, though the tea was just perfect, please sort out a better carry away cup as its not quite leak proof. Thank you for your service! And all the very best! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Ordered lunch menu Butter Chicken which came with Curry, Rice, and your choice of Naan. $20.50 is great value for the food the I received great customer service, food was ready fast and tasted delicious, a huge fan of tomato so the sauce was perfection to me. This nice restaurant is set up with traditional Indian decor. The meal portion sizes and prices were fair. However, the korma curry that we ordered was quite sweet which I felt was not very authentic at all to the flavours of many Indian curries (especially as I have travelled to India). In saying this the staff showed great customer service when I asked about the sweetness. So, if you are like me and are after a more traditional Indian curry and like a bit more heat and spice in your food let the waiter know. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the food that was on the menu.

Nice! The vindaloo was a tad salty but excellent dining experience overall. Absolutely planning to return someday. The tapestry is lovely, and makes it one of the restaurants with the finest interiors I have seen in New Zealand.
