Mare Nostrum is the main restaurant at the Pueblo Bonita Rosé. It also happens to be a buffet.
I thought the breakfast buffet was better than dinner buffet. I found the Sunday Brunch to be the best option of all. With plenty of foods to select from, it's put together decently and the visual presentation is brilliant. It's a solid buffet, but very Americanized, I reckon the food could use more flavor...most of it is bland.
The wait staff is pleasant, attentive and on top of your needs.

Mare Nostrum is the main buffet restaurant at Pueblo Bonito Rose and has fabulous buffets. We have the breakfast buffet pretty much every day (sometimes we venture to Las Polamas for breakfast).
The buffet has something for everyone! I always have a fresh made omelette at the omelette station. They have all kinds of choices to customize your omelette and the omelette makers are always so sweet and engaging- they love to help me practice my Spanish.
In addition to the omelette station, there are many other options. There are typical Mexican dishes such as huevos Rancheros, refried beans, pork stew and chilaquiles!!
The chilaquiles are a must have for use. The buffet offers greens and red chilaquiles!
There’s also a huge variety of fresh juices, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, cereal. The toast section of the buffet has many butter and jam options.
The ambiance is wonderful. There are lots of seating options inside and outside. We always sit on the patio that faces the ocean. The view is breathtaking.
The wait staff is very attentive and accommodating. They are quick to take our cocktails orders and keep our glasses filled.
They also have a lunch and dinner buffet. The dinner buffet has a different theme every night.

We had lunch at Mare Nostrum during our stay at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort, and it was a really good experience. The view from the restaurant was beautiful, and the ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable.
