If you are in El Nido you better stop here. The food is so good so mouthwatering and so fresh. The owner was picking fresh 🌿 herbs for our pizza from the herb garden growing in the restaurant. Absolutely amazing! The owner is a very friendly and interesting young man. You better check this place out. This is THE BEST and authentic Italian restaurant in all of Philippines!!! I’ve done the legwork and research. The chef is very social and loves to meet his guests, which is always a plus. And he shares his knowledge and skills with national staff—always great! He also grows his own herbs. The story of his move to Philippines and the origin of Mangio is simply sweet. One bite of their pizza, pure heaven. Simple, tasty, subtle flavours. Great sunset view from the rooftop of Eco Suites. As with anywhere, cash is king. If you takeaway you’ll pay for the boxes. Nevertheless, I’ll pay extra just to have more of their pizza!
We got Ricardo’s pizza which is the owners special off the menu dish. They have a policy that if they dont serve within 28 minutes they will not ask for service charge. Actually they served our food less than 28 minutes. The pizza is good. We also ordered for a pasta which I forgot to take picture, if not mistaken it is called La Crema which was alright. You just have to climb 2-3 flight of stairs Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ₱800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We were apprehensive after a few terrible pizzas in the Philippines, but this was genuinely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (including compared to Italy). The crust was amazing, the toppings were very generous and it was cooked perfectly. The staff were also brilliant. Wish we were here longer so we could go back - we’re desperate to try the tiramisu! Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. The restaurant has no real atmosphere, just some tables and chairs on a rooftop with very bright lights. We were getting covered in soot from the pizza oven. There is also not a designated smoking area so we were constantly getting wafts of smoke from other customers. We waited almost an hour for our pizzas as there is just one chef and two waitresses. The waitress didn’t even apologise for the wait. If we were told in advance how long the food would take we wouldn’t have minded. Our hands were black after eating the pizza and the prices are on the higher side. The pizza itself was nice but not worth the wait. I would recommend heading down to Bella Vita on the beach instead.

We love to eat. After visiting northern Italy last year, it’s been a real treat to find such amazing and authentic Italian food in PI. Riccardo (the chef and owner) is amazing. The set menu is great but it’s worth asking about the daily specials. Certain dishes can only be made if they are up to his quality standard. His passion and warm hospitality is worth checking out this hidden gem. He is from the birthplace of Prosecco and the spritz so they are a must while you eat. We’ve been here for over a week and found ourselves returning multiple times because IT IS THAT GOOD!!! In a land full of tropical drinks and rice, it’s nice to find something a little different. Every item is made fresh daily and you can really taste it. The pizza is a must try. The fresh mozzarella is a must. We had the Quattro formaggio, if you love cheese pizza it’s the choice for you. You can’t go wrong with any choice. The salad was fresh and simple but delicious. The dessert, especially the panna cotta, is amazing. Show up early if you want to try the limited fresh choices. You really can’t go wrong. The jam is homemade and you can really taste it. We can’t recommend this place enough. Please try it and you won’t be disappointed. We loved our meals here. The sunset looks amazing from the balcony as well. We loved the environment and ambiance. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ₱600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Impeccable food and dining experience! Made it a point to eat in Mangio due to the raving reviews online and we were not disappointed. Sir Ricardo, an Italian pizza expert and pizza maker, really took the time to talk to the guests and generously share his recommendations and experiences. We ordered the Regina Margherita pizza, as he recommended, La Cremosa (with Rigatoni pasta noodles), and the Caesar Salad. All of which were extremely flavorful and fresh! You can really taste the exquisite quality! Sir Ricardo and his team were even so generous to offer a free digestive shot. Overall, a must visit restaurant here in El Nido! Otherwise, you're missing out.

I had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant, and it was truly outstanding. Every dish was not only delicious but also freshly made, which added to the experience. Ricardo, the chef, was a true gem. He went out of his way to accommodate our preferences and even prepared a special dish that wasn't on the menu, showcasing his culinary ability. Beyond his culinary skills, he was exceptionally friendly and chatty, eager to discuss his food and engage in conversations about various aspects of life. To top it off the restaurant boasted an incredible view of the sunset. This place is a hidden gem that offers not just amazing food but a heartwarming and memorable dining experience. Highly recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ₱400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
