Very delicious and extremely well executed dish. If you dine hear you feel the love the chef and his team is putting into every plate they serve. We had an fantastic evening and felt extremely well treated by the service team!

The food was delicious and unusual, especially the Maltese Mazzit. The service was fast and caring. When I dropped my spoon on the floor, it felt like the entire staff ran out of the kitchen to give me a new one. The average price of starters was 11-12€, main courses 25-30€ and desserts 8€.

The best food in all of Malta and Gozo! The eggplant dish was out of this world. The food was fresh and delicious and we appreciated the complex flavors and great service. My partner loved the rabbit. Highly recommend!

Beef Carpaccio
This was our first time as we followed the great reviews left and WOW we were not disappointed, the food was DELICIOUS and service was fantastic to match. We had the beetroot and lampuki to start and Scorpionfish and Pork as main, the flavours were incredible and they were cooked in a way we had never tried before but loved so much! Beautiful decor, wine was delicious and even the bread to start was incredible, we come from London and it was a step above what we are use to there, we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you and we would highly recommend! :)
Wine tasting highly recommended. George's explanation is very good and the selection of wines and food is excellent! We will definitely return on our next trip to Gozo since the restaurant and its food are a must-see in Gozo!

A hidden gem in Gozo. The restaurant itself is a small underground place. The waiters were very cheerful and very informative of the food and wine, which definitely added to our experience. They let us try the wine first prior to choosing the bottle, which was very kind of them. The food was very tasty and fragrant, each bite better than the last. I definitely recommend Maldonado and will be coming back again.

I booked a table at Maldonado Bistro on my partner's birthday during our holiday in Gozo. When we arrived, the staff congratulated him and gave us each a free glass of prosecco which was very thoughtful.
We had the treacle glazed beetroot as a starter which was fantastic. One of the best starters I have ever eaten.
For the main course we had a very delicious aubergine dish which was topped with pomegranate and walnuts and served on top of an onion tahini sauce, with a side of potatoes and seasonal vegetables from their own farm. The kitchen kindly adapted the main to make it vegan for us.
For dessert we had sorbet and the blueberry and dark chocolate sorbets I had were excellent and complemented each other well. I also tried a Maltese Merlot wine which was very good.
Throughout our evening, the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive and made us feel welcome. We had a great dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

We wanted to love this place, our friends, B&B host even said it, was one of their favorites on the entire island. I don’t doubt that it is. However our experience was extremely unlucky and thus not what we expected. The dishes are alright, however we had to wait over 70 minutes from primi to main. Communication was absent. When we asked they said they make the chicken from scratch and it takes longer, then they said an issue in the kitchen, then they said ‘the kitchen is plating’ - it took another 15-20 minutes to get our dish from there.
My husband observed someone else getting what he had ordered before them. We got drinks on the house, the least they could do.
I had a new starter a cucumber tartlet - delicious but so crispy baked that with the normal knife provided I could not cut it - thanks to husband who managed to cut it I was able to enjoy it.
It overshadows the unique location and charm of the place.

Wow. Just wow. Amazing from start to finish. And even the bread basket and dips! And not overpriced! Excellent value for money. My husband and I had a starter and main course each, shared a dessert and two glasses of very nice wine for 90euros! My god, the seafood risotto makes my mouth water thinking about it again!!
