Fantastic authentic Mayan cuisine! We stumbled across this place by accident and it is by far the best restaurant we found in Bacalar Lagoon. Delicious mole’s, tacos, tamales, and more. Vegan & carnivore options pleased our eclectic group. The atmosphere is amazing and decorated beautifully. A must-visit for those wanting the real thing. I’ll be dreaming of this food until we vacation here again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best food I’ve had in a very long time! Every single item is crafted for the palette. Rich food in flavor, amazing colors. Inspired by Oaxacan cuisine. I am Mexican and I approve of the salsas and authenticity. Ismael provided us with extraordinary service. We came twice during our stay in Bacalar. The atmosphere is bohemian with subtle lighting. Makes for great conversation. You won’t regret giving this place a try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Innovative, taste and truly unforgettable food with an emphasis on prehispanic dishes. Friendly and attentive service. The new restaurant opened just some weeks ago, but must be destined to become an attraction in its own right. This is high end dining at a reasonable price. Warmly recommended. Try the elaborate cocktails for something truly different. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $400–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The mixologists did an amazing job, hand crafted beverages in front of us. The warm lighting is relaxing. Ismael provided great service. We visited twice during our visit to Bacalar. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Super cute little place. Spanish and English available. Tasty traditional dishes including grasshopper for the adventurous. The sauces and service were amazing. Fernanda was lovely and very helpful. Only three tables, but no wait. We had a tiny owl fly up on the wall next to us before we left. It was a highlight of our trip. Magical and memorable. Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and the location was excellent. The restaurant itself was very pleasant, with good food and customer service. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to too many mosquitoes, so we didn't get the chance to fully enjoy the menu. The ambiance is great. The service is great. But the food. The food is beyond description. The cochinita pibil is slow cooked for 12 hours, and you can taste the love being put into it. The trilogía of moles is one of the best quality moles I’ve ever tried. Waiter recommended ordering moles negros with tortitas de plátano, pipián verde with chicken and encacahuatado with pork. It resulted in one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. Really good, if in Bacalar you should definitely try to come to this place. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I seldom give out a perfect score. Call me biased but I spent a little too great of a time at this place. Their native cuisine with its colorful and appetizing presentation (Bacalar signature) aligned perfectly with the sophisticated flavor of its unique ingredients. The highlight was their mezcalitas of maracuya which has been part of our quest to find the best one along the Mayan Riviera. Also the whole (Ic'al ixim) team very attentive and friendly. ... And Fun to hang out!!! #ambiance6stars Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Delicious! We shared the tikinxic (Mayan fish) and a vegan mole made from pistachio and served over smoked cauliflower, cocktails (okay) and mezcal (excellent). This restaurant is not cheap and the portions are on the small side, but the flavours are incredible. Easily one of the best meals I've had in my Mexico travels, and the beautiful setting and brilliant service made it a wonderful night.
