Came here for dinner during winter break 2023. Place was crowded and we were forewarned that the food could take a while (turned out it didn’t take that long after all). All the rooms were taken when we arrived and we were the first to be seated at the bar but that area too was completely full by the time we left. Came here based on Google reviews and we were not disappointed. We had the seared tuna, house salad and pork with milk sauce - all superb. Service was polite and prompt. Place has a cool vibe. Great place with good local Okinawa cuisine. Not disappointed by any dishes we ordered. Go for the fried somen, and the braised pork with milk sauce. Quirky decor, and unique seating... English menus available.

We had wonderful Okinawa Cusine at 家守家 Yamoriya on 15 June 2023. The Food, Staffs & warm interesting restaurant with beautiful plates & cutlery made us very satisfied. Very Thoughtful of 家守家 Yamoriya to put Sanitary Pads, Toothpicks, Cotton Buds & Magnifying Mirror in the Female Toilet. I never usually write reviews for restaurants, but this place was so good I felt compelled to share. We’ve been traveling around Japan for 3 weeks and had all sorts of excellent food, but this has topped them all. Highly recommend the seared tuna and the Okinawa speciality rafute (boiled pork) - excellent service and value for money.

If you get the chance I would come here. I thought it was a hole in the wall, then I walked in. They asked if we had reservations, we did not but thankfully there was room at the counter. Friendly and accommodating staff, would wait for reservations if I had to. Amazing food. And could be romantic, fun or business. This place is all in one stop for a good meal.
