I agree with the other reviewers about the bad exchange rate if you pay in dollars. It ended up costing us about 10 dollars more. The waiter waved us into a parking space saying it was free if we are restaurant customers. A little extra excitement when our car got ticketed and booted but the waiter got rid of the problem. Part of the adventure, I guess. Ultimately, the food was good. Dance clubs across the street were pumping out a lot of really loud music. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Food was ok. Server was very friendly but the check appears to have inflated....didn't match printed priced on Spanish side only. $50+ for two standard shrimp dishes and 1 coke...no alcohol. We felt ripped off. Buyer beware. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Avoid Restaurant Linda Vista in the Malecon. Good food and good service wrecked at the end by scammy payment issues. No air conditioning so it’s hot. They only take cash but don’t tell you that until the end. Then if you want to pay in USD, they take an extra 12% over the standard exchange rate. And even if you pay in pesos/cash, you’d better have exact change because they magically don’t have change even though they only take cash. Not cool. Seemed like a trap at every turn. Meal type Dinner Price per person $400–500 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
Food and drinks great! 6 of us and all enjoyed different lunches. Prices in pesos and USD, friendly and clean.
THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF. Decent food (and super friendly service) but ONLY pay in pesos. The “our restaurant” exchange rate is ridiculously high. If paying in dollars, which they preferred, the total price was $18 higher than the honest exchange (and they don’t allow credit card). And what they explained was that the owner required the higher exchange rate. Pay in pesos based on the price on the menu or go somewhere else.

THE MOST DISGUSTING FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!!! The shrimp and fish tacos were bland and boiled. The corn tortillas were cold. The chicken and steak platter looked and tasted NASTY. The meat was boiled!! We didn't even eat it. The quesadillas were nasty, hamburgers....nasty. Like seriously....how can you be mexican, in Mexico and make such HORIBLE mexican food????? And guess what they tried charging us???? $200 american dollars!!! What a rip off joke! Shame shame shame on you!!! We handed them $100 and told them it was all nasty and they didn't even deserve the $100. And they charged $15 for a Virgin mango drink thing that was sad. And $36 for 2 jugs of limeade (we ordered LEMONADE and not limeade). I AM SOOOO MAD THE SCAMMERS THEY ARE!!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! Mcdonnalds serves better food!!
We had a nice experience. We did not have enough cash. Forgot to ask if they took credit cards. The machine was broke. Had to get More cash. Food was good. An upstairs cafe. Meal type Dinner Price per person $100–200
