About
Le Kaat is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant located in the heart of Valladolid, Mexico. It is a relatively new restaurant, having been open for only three months, but it has already made a name for itself among vegans and non-vegans alike. The restaurant is located on the picturesque Calzada de Los Frailes and has a great garden seating area. The atmosphere is very relaxed and peaceful and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu is varied and creative, offering Mexican, Middle Eastern, Asian, and Italian dishes as well as vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. The green juice, burgers, and key lime avocado pie are all must-tries. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming and the attached ceramic store is full of beautiful and unique pieces. Overall, Le Kaat is a great spot to visit while in Valladolid. The food is healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. Highly recommended!

We went to this restaurant on new year's day. I don't know whether they were too busy when most businesses were not open on a holiday. It took forever to have our drinks served. I had to chase the server to have the first dish - soup ready. From the time we sat down until the soup, it took more than 1 hour and 10 minutes. We had not idea how long it would take to get the main dishes. No communication. I understand business can get very busy on a holiday. I wish the staff should have communicated better so we knew what to expect. Maybe its the language barrier. The person did speak English with us. We walked out hungry after spending more than 1.5 hours at the restaurant. We had to go to a different place to get more food later. Came in cos of the vibe, dissapointed by food.. curry was taste watery, some zukini&carrot&onion little bit of beans, didn't taste much at all. Nothing in the bowl had much taste. I wanted curry because of it's flavor. But good service and garden. Food, 170$ not worth the price :( Hard to finished it cos quantity of rice is quite big while with muted taste of sauce and veggy. Should study about curry more.. vegan should be delicious, not just feel empty with lack of flavor or ingredients. Too expensive for very basic ingredients Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was such a nice place that we came here for both dinner and breakfast! Many vegan options for both dinner and breakfast, all well thought through. Very nice atmosphere and there were always people there when we passed by (which I see as a good grade). Super friendly and engaging staff. We were also lucky to go there for dinner when they had a musician performing both Mexican and international hits with his guitar, which was a romantic bonus. Lovely little outdoor seating area, but as the restaurant is open towards the road with no clear door to close it was no problem to sit “inside” either. Very good food too, also appreciated by my non-vegan or vegetarian husband (even though it could - as most places we went to in Mexico - need some more seasoning to really bring out the flavours of their fantastic produces). Also appreciated that they had vegan desserts, as that is not that easy to get in many other restaurants. Would definitely return! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Incredible place to have dinner, everything is vegan and delicious. I was not confident about pastas being italian but my friend tried pomodoro pasta and it was very well cooked, I had a falaffel bowl which was very abundant and tasty and we shared a cashew strawberry frozen cheesecake. Plus, the waiter was very careful in the service and the guitarist created a beautiful atmosphere. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Falafel Burger

Our dining experience at the restaurant was average. While the food was decent, the sauce lacked in flavor. The service was friendly, and we appreciated the charming garden. However, overall, it didn't quite meet our expectations, and we don't find it compelling enough to visit a second time. Maybe if you are vegan a good choice, but for vegetarian I prefer other options in town. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Food is awful. Service is pretty good. Atmosphere is amazing. Both me and my partner's meal were bland and mushy. Everything from the tacos to the falafel just dissolved into mush. Overpriced and flavorless. They were also out of every app on the menu, and had to sub one of my taco sampler because they were out of that. I don't understand the hype of this place. Very disappointing. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Had a great experience here. We had the beetroot hummus with gorgonzola, trilogía de tacos and the cauli bites. The food was good and very flavoursome, large portions and lovely outdoor patio with live music. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

As you head out on the road to the convent of San Bernardino in Valladolid, there are quite a few places to enjoy breakfast. Le Kaat seemed OK and was reasonably priced. The coffee could have been better but it was no worse than some of the other places we had coffee. It's nice as you can sit outside. Our main issue was the terrible muzak which they insisted on playing. 😜
