After a walk around Beacon Point Walk, many visitors stop by this bar. Come to this place and try New Zealand cuisine. Perfectly cooked salt calamari, seafood chowder and beef have an appetizing taste. Come here and degust tasty sticky toffee pudding, brownies and flija. Delicious lager, mulled wine or cider are among the most often ordered drinks at Lake Bar. Tasting the great coffee is a decent choice. The convenient location of this place makes it easy to reach by any transport. The enjoyable service and the good staff are its great pluses. What an awesome experience. Service, food and atmosphere was superb. We had a window table so could also enjoy the view of gorgeous Wanaka. Live crayfish and paua tanks which you choose the one you want and it is cooked for you. Menu is great with plenty to choose from. We will be back to sample other dishes. We had our lunch here on a nice sunny afternoon. The place was nice and relaxed (think there’s no women’s world cup happening in the afternoon). We ordered a seafood chowder and spicy wedges. The chowder was full of ingredients and the wedge’s sauce combination of sweet thai chili + sour cream was absolutely amazing. The portions were huge was well! Such a beautiful location, Staff were very friendly. Food was amazing, had the Venison 3 times, couldnt get enough of it, best Venison ive had in NZ. Fish and chips was also excellent, comes with 2 bits of Blue Cod. Long island iced teas were perfect. Will be back when we come back to NZ. Keep up the great work. One rude member of staff who made it clear that I was unwelcome when i was a girl alone and waiting for some friends - despite the fact that i was still drinking a drink and had said we wanted to drink for the rest of the evening. Nice if you are with a group of men as they don't seem to want to bother them. All the other staff were sweet but its an establishment out to make money over anything else. The pint and paddle just down the road is very accommodating and has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Price per person $50–60 Service: 1

The place to get a good feed and a variety of Lake Bar. The food serving sizes are great, especially after a day on the mountain. My wife and I had tea here tonight. Pretty busy. Service and staff were really good. I had the blue cod and my wife had the venison rack. $42 and $39 a piece but to be honest I thought the quality and quantity was pretty good when compared with places we have visited recently. Could not speak more highly of the service the staff provided to us. The food was delicious, we tried a few tapas including the onion rings, garlic prawns, salt & pepper squid and also shared the chicken burger. Great pub grub with fast friendly service. We didn’t have a booking but we managed to get a free table quickly. Servings were hearty portions & tasty! Absolutely enjoyed my seafood chowder! It was tasty & creamy with plenty of seafood! The crusty bread was also lovely to dip into the chowder too 🤤🤤🤤 Definitely recommend if you are after a good feed!
