We had a wonderful evening at Lakdina Cafe. First of all the place is very well decorated and the furniture home made. The family who invited us were very kind and made us feel welcome and comfortable. This is a really authentic place and we wish the very best for this family. We ate a lovely curry buffet and the tuna was fresh and delicious. It’s great to know that Malika also gives cooking classes! Don’t miss this gastronomic jewel in the rough rugged seaside of secret bay!

First of all congratulations because if you are reading this it means that you are reaching the real Sri Lankan corners.
This is a family owned restaurant, they will always be there because they live next door. Their food is as real and natural as it can get. Surasiri the mom speaks English and she will love to show you her cooking skills. I ate here for 4 days in a row and asked her to give me a cooking class.

Very authentic Sri Lankan meal. We had rice and curry that was cooked on an open fire. Call ahead before going as it can take some time to prepare. Shop is run by husband and wife. Best roti we have had!!!

We had the best time at the Lakdina cafe. Mallika and her family made us feel sooo welcome. The food is cooked in a traditional way, all fresh ingredients.

Very friendly owner and authentic ambience. If you text Malika beforehand via WhatsApp she’ll prepare a traditional rice and curry for you, even in off season. We had a very solid kurrakan soup with coconut sambal and yucca - yummy!

We had an amazing lunch here, everything was cooked fresh on fire wood and the watermelon juice was very tasty! We ate a delicious Dhal, Coconut Sambol and Roti and absolutely recommend it.
