The place has such a nice look and feel and great reviews that made us believe we’ll have a good experience. But it was a total let down. Among the group of four, none of us were satisfied with what we received. The only thing we liked was the presentation of the food. Nachos were half fried, shrimp quesadilla was kinda smelly, tacos were dry. We were charged extra for the salsas for tacos. The waiter forgot to serve us water and charged 20 percent service fee for this subpar service. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a memorable experience. Great atmosphere for sure. Service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. We ordered a nachos and a taco platter which were good. They looked fantastic on the plate. To me the food was ok but my gf thinks it was super good. So I am a bit generous for the food part of review. Overall you will not regret for coming here. They also have a cat strolling around and asking for food which was very cute. We have two cats and love being around them. The dining experience at this restaurant was truly memorable. Not only was the food good, but the service was also A1. One highlight was the inclusion of a Jenga game while waiting for our meal, which not only helped pass the time but also added an element of joy to our experience. I recommend. We came here because of the high reviews, but I assume those good reviews were not for the food. Even though we were very hungry, the food was very average, lacked flavor, and the prices were the same as New York prices, so we are very much disappointed with our choice. We ordered different tacos such as fish, shrimp, chicken, steak, and chicken quesadillas. The only exception was that the guacamole and chips were delicious. The music and environment were nice, but too many mosquitoes didn’t make the experience pleasant. The best thing was the service, for sure. Everyone was very attentive and nice. We got the tacos and the platter of mix seafood and meat tacos! Everything was so good. My fav were the shrimp coconut tacos. Recommend for a chill spot with great food. This has to be the best tacos in Tulum - absolutely delicious! We had the steak, pastor, chicken and fish. The atmosphere was great with live music, jenga and the Australian open on the big screen! Nice restaurant in hip part of Tulum. Tables spread out around vegetation with kitchen and bar in the back. We ordered the taco sampler and devoured the whole plate except for two we fed the local cat with. The guacamole was brownish (could have done without). Ordered beer from tap (Oaxaca) which had a good flavor but the glass strangely enough smelled like sewer, weird. Music was too loud for our taste, we could barely hear each other. Service was friendly. Pricing is definitely on the upscale end, possibly more expensive than New York. The sampler and 3 beers $70 (including 20% tip). Very nice place. Food was delicious and fresh. Best burrito for my taste in Tulum. Waiter was very knowledgeable about menu items and gave us good suggestions. Lemonade was refreshing. I bet other options are good too. It’s pet friendly venue. Water provided. It’s kinda hard to find parking. We managed to find a spot around the corner, but it was a street parking (seems to be normal for this location). Definitely will recommend checking out La Taqueria Tulum. Came to La Taqueria with a large group (around 20 people). Ezekiel took care of our table and was the best. Handled the numerous requests with ease and kindness. The food was so good we had to pay the location a few visits. Would recommend!
