Our trip to Weesp was great for a quiet and casual afternoon but the highlight was La Ruelle. Vera took perfect care of us with excellent recommendations for wine and main dishes. The fish with the pinot grigio and the lamb with the primitivo were perfect matches. Thank you Vera and La Ruelle! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had an amazing meal at La Ruelle.  If it is in season, the asparagus was amazing.  The staff were all great at answering our many questions and offering suggestions!  Great place for a dinner. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nice central restaurant in Weesp serving bistro like dishes! We were especially pleased with the exceptional service, very friendly and clearly people who enjoy their work! While sitting in the sun on the terrace we enjoyed snails in butter, a ham sandwich with fries and very good white and red wines at reasonable prices. If in Weesp this is definitely worth going to!
I do not recommend this restaurant at all. We had made a reservation and upon arrival we inquired whether we could sit somewhere else and the man in charge reacted in a very annoyed way; so zero points for hospitality here . Apparently he is the owner but really still needs to figure out what hospitality is all about. Then the food: we ordered the union soup but there was absolutely nothing French about it; instead of sweet and a bit savory it was spicy and contained a lot of herbs that no French ever would put in there. We mentioned this to the waitress who kept saying that it was really French. Apparently, she has no knowledge of French food. My husband ordered the catch of the week which was not very exciting (fried common sole). I ordered the confit de canard since that was the whole reason we came here. Well, it was a huge disappointment; from the way in which it was served (just the duck in a pool of fat on a plate without any garnish what so ever; it looked very very poor) to the taste of it (very bland and the meat was no longer juicy, but kind of dry and the duck was definitely fried (like how you fry fries) after the confit instead of a good pan-fry). It was served with fries and some salad; I felt like I was eating at a snackbar because the quality of the food was so low and practically everything was fried apart from the unexciting salad of a couple of cucumbers, slaw, some tomatoes and minimal garnish (basically what you also get as a side-salad at your local shawarma place). Also the service was quite inattentive; they didn't come to inquire during the meal whether everything was good or whether we wanted anything else to drink (which we did want to but then again they were hardly ever available or did not even look around on their terrace to see if anyone was in need of anything). We skipped the dessert since two courses and the service had already been a disappointment. There was at another table also some trouble.... they were promised to be able to order the mussels and then were extremely disappointed because the owner served the last batches of it to other guests (we heard the waitress telling them that). All in all, a restaurant that knows not much about French cooking but pretentiously pretends it does and a service and hospitality that really needs an overhaul. If you like super simple food (a fried steak, some cheap fries over a minimal salad) you may be happy here, but if you like your food to be of a higher standard skip this place and don't be fooled by its pretentiousness of offering French cuisine.
If you stumble into the out of the way charming town, enjoy eating at La Ruelle restaurant, The server she was incurably informative and extremely helpful no to mention the food was great.
Very good beers, tasty kitchen.
@aoyamalille🎌 at La Ruelle 🙌🏼 Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant. We are staying close and were looking for a dinner place yesterday evening. We went to La Ruelle and were served by a lovely waitress who spoke to us in French 🙌🏼 Food was amazingly good. Tried to take a picture to share but it was already too dark outside. I recommend the place cause it deserves a lot of success.
Excellent restaurant, good location. The food was exquisite and the staff was very nice. I tried the canard confit and didn’t regret it 👌🏻
