A unique experience. Really good place for family and friends. With reasonable prices and excellent views of the boats and the Caribbean Sea.

This was an amazing experience! From the time we arrived to the time we left. The service was great, everyone super friendly and OMG the food!!!
I had the chillo a La Proa, it’s a fried fish with Mofongo with shrimp that I ATE ALL!!!!
My Father in Law had a black rissotto, to die for.
My mother in law and husband had the local special, the chillo a la boca chica one with grilled veggies and the other with tostones, batata frita and yaniqueques.
I have to say that we were greeted with yaniqueques!!!!
We also had some appetizers but I didn’t take pictures... however I can recommend their ceviche! Was delicious.
Adding that this property is in a marina! Gorgeous views for pictures, and they even arrange a yacht or jet ski for you if you wish to have some fun in the water.
Being moored in the marina, I decided to try La Proa Bistro Marino. Based on the glowing reviews on google maps, I expected something well above average. It was not - in fact the meal I had was mediocre. I had chicken escalopes, with tostones (fried plantain). I was surprised that that was all that came - no attempt at any form of garnish, a little salad or a few vegetables for example. The chicken was fine - but so is KFC! Photos accompanying the reviews on here seemed to suggest an artistic presentation of the food - but there was nothing artistic in what I had. The price was DOP690, plus of course taxes, making it expensive by local standards for what I received. In addition, perhaps because it was Thursday (the restaurant opens only Thursday to Sunday), I was the only customer. They shut down just after 9pm - having just served me another beer, leaving me to finish it in the dark. Not a problem, I’m happy to drink beer under any circumstances! But a bit strange. Not recommended.
