I asked there to make a sandwich for me, I waited for about 30 minutes and then I got a sandwich without any vegetable. Then I asked why and she told me that they don't have those vegetable. The good looking and tasting food selection known from La Place. Friendliness of staff differs, but o.k. to good in general. Outside if building is dated, inside is o.k., so I would score atmosphere 3.5. Nice stop, which you can reach from both sides of the highway because there is a tunnel under the highest Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Amazing place. We are visiting Holland for a few days and this place has really great fresh food. Friendly staff always smiling... been here already a few times.. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €1–10

A stop off en route to Hoek van Holland. A quick coffee, then off again. Typical friendly service. Direct parking outside. Just the ticket. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Usually La Place is a chain of excellent restaurants in NL with friendly staff except the location in Stroe. The waitress in the cashier was very rude and impolite. I had a voucher and apparently it was for a different dish than what brought to the cashier. She refused to exchange the dish and was very rude. I am a frequent Coustomer of La Place and never experienced this kind of rude attitude from a staff member of La Place. The day manager Marijka was more understanding and trying to explain. Great place for a coffee or snack while en route. We had coffee here and some pastries. Beautiful presentations of food, and our apple/nut pie and strawberry cake were both delicious. One thing that is not enjoyable (but something that appears very common in the Netherlands and Germany) is that you have to pay to use the restrooms. The restrooms are called "PiPi" - no kidding. It costs 70 eurocents to go to the PiPi (even if you have to do a PooPoo), but you can get a voucher that will give you a 50 cent discount for your next purchase at a La Place restaurant. The restaurant also offers you coins (ask for them near the registers), but it seems quite a hassle for something that could also be offered for free.
