Restaurant is good value, food is nice and staff work hard. Service was good apart from being asked too many times to leave a review by one waiter, this is not polite! Maybe 1 time when you give the bill but no more than once or it has a negative effect. Also, felt like very soon after I had finished eating that I was asked if I wanted the bill - almost felt like I was being asked to leave rather than attentive service. Sorry for moan but I think it is points for improvement :)

Tasty food and big portions! Good choice for those who are looking also for zero-spicy food and gluten free options are available.
HOWEVER the waiter asked us THOUSANDS of times to make a review during our lunch. Himal, that is really not cool! I deduct points for that.

I ate vegetarian rice and curry, very tasty, it was full of flavour, yummy and the waiters are willing to make the refill of the curry you liked the most! I also had ginger tea (a pot )and it was super good, I recommend this place, in the middle of Ella town.

We dined twice here during our stay in Ella. The Kottu we had on the first night was amazing and had the right amount of cheese and spices. The second time we ordered chicken curry with 4 vegetables which were nice. However the chicken seemed chewy and tasteless. Overall this is a decent place but can definitely improve.

We had our lunch here. The food was delicious ( special mention to their chicken soup noodles) one of the best soup. My friend ordered cheese kottu. Everything was delicious. Friendly staff.

I had a delightful time at La Mensa restaurant in Ella!
The Cheese and Chicken Kottu was a standout dish – it was incredibly flavorful and perfectly spiced, leaving my taste buds satisfied.
The Devilled Chicken was equally delicious, with just the right amount of heat, but do be cautious of the bones. Despite that, the flavors were fantastic.
The Watermelon Juice was a refreshing treat, and you could tell it was made with fresh ingredients.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend visiting La Mensa for a tasty meal with a great ambiance. Just remember to try their signature dishes, and you won't be disappointed!

We had lunch in this restaurant in our first day in Ella in the second level, and it was beautiful. Nice view, nice food and also such a nice service from Fernando even if he still doesn’t speak much English, made us felt good and friendly. Such a nice guy. Thanks for taking care of us.
