Visited raglan for a day, went ahead and tried La La Land’s hot chocolate, not too sweet and it was perfect for the day, it wasn’t too busy the day I went but at the time the atmosphere was peaceful, I vibe with the music, customer service was great, overall a cosy experience, will have to go back sometime and try their other flavours too

Epic hot chocolates! A real Raglan gem! All the hot chocolates we tried packed a flavourful punch with deep deep chocolate taste. Chilli, hazelnut and the salted caramel. Yum!

The BEST long black coffee I enjoyed in Raglan was from here. The decadent waffles & a cheeky brioche were also super delicious 😏❤️. Dog friendly - they even brought out puppaccinos for our dogs 🥰. Friendly, kind service. Happy birthday eve to me 🥳
Nice atmosphere and nice environment. My friend went to the gas station and got a hot chocolate for $4. My medium hot chocolate was $9.50 but was about half the size of my friends hot chocolate even though I paid twice the amount. Mine tasted slightly better I could taste the quality difference but for the price and the tiny cup it got served in I felt completely ripped off. No hot chocolate should ever be that much. I at least thought I would get cream or marshmallows but just a fairly basic hot chocolate. Walked away feeling robbed.

Thanks to the store owner for replying. I can absolutely appreciate the store opening hours have to be adjusted occasionally, it is indeed very hard for lots of business at the moment in terms of staffing, including the smaller businesses.
However this doesn’t explain why my order was wrong as well as overcharged for?

We went to visit yesterday to try their waffles at around 2:30pm as google said they were open until 5pm, however that wasn’t the case as they were closed? I understand staffing can be a problem so I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt.
Today, we drove another half an hour to try again, but upon arrival we were advised they had none left. It was only 10:30am.
While we were a bit disheartened, we decided to try the iced chocolates. The pricing was very confusing, and while the lady there wasn’t exactly pushy, it was all very misleading.
We also received one with ice cream and one with whipped cream, which is not what we ordered?
After paying $26.50 (not sure where the 50c came from by the way as everything was whole dollars) for two iced chocolates that were pretty average, we felt pretty ripped off.
A beautiful little shop in the heart of Raglan, and definitely worth a visit. Just make sure you know what you’re paying for!

Beautiful Coffee and food was even great.
We tried carrot cake and waffles both items were very good, perfect portion size for sharing among small family of 2+2.
Great interior and lights, plenty parking just outside.
Staff were friendly and helpful, even though they were super busy.

This was one of my favorite experiences in New Zealand. I walked into this little shop with a group of friends questioning whether we should order anything due to lack of seating space. What a mistake it would be to turn around. I highly recommend their waffles, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with just a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. We got a layered cake, waffles, hot chocolate and some puffs. Could not fault any of it. And the service was lovely as well. Whenever I am in Raglan, this will be my stop. High recommended.
For $25 one could expect, at least, a whole waffle. But half a waffle with a few marshmallows, a bit of whipped cream, and a blossom on top is a joke! The pricey "large' "hot" chocolate in a regular sized cup for $12 falls into the same category. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere can't make up for the overall negative, expensive experience. Not to mention that at 1pm they had run out of all options except two flavours.
