Great restaurant one block from the beach. You feel immediately relaxed in the open space under a tall palapa with fresh breeze and sounds of palm leaves.
Everything is meticulously clean. I've visited a few times in the last few months and every time all staff wore masks. Hand sanitizer is available on all tables, at the entrance, bathroom, etc. In comparison to many other places in El Cuyo, La Barcaccia wins my vote for being a Covid safe place to eat or have a drink.
The food is always great! Freshly prepared authentic Italian made with love and care by a very talented and creative chef.
Great genuine Italian restaurant in basic, but very nice setting. We ate there three times and everything was excellent. Prices are moderate. The menu provides a good choice of Italian specialities, great starters, e.g. Vitello Tonnato, and several main courses with well prepared pasta. Also fish and meat items are available.
Service is attentive and the owner/chef cares for his guests. Friendly atmosphere. Strongly recommended, best experience in town!

Great little restaurant with staff speaking English and Spanish.
The food was absolutely superb as were their margheritas and other cocktails.
From the red snapper carpaccio with truffle oil to the steak or the fresh fish (Jurel/ Chilean Mackerel) in tomato sauce with black olives and basil - everything was authentic and tasty.
The music they played was also perfect for creating a relaxed, cosy vibe.
When we come back to El Cuyo we will absolutely come back here!!
Also to those complaining about not wearing masks, when you sit down to eat you remove them therefore making the wearing of the mask in the first place absolutely pointless. COVID-19 is not the black death or plague. Chill out....
Great menu which is selective with classic Italian dishes and everything is of high quality. We really enjoy the food and the vibe here

Great drinks, the ceviche con camarones y pulpo was incredible, and the staff was so inviting and friendly. El Cuyo was a highlight of our Yucatán roadtrip, and this place is a gem of El Cuyo!

Such amazing food! Came to el cuyo on a romantic getaway and my boyfriend knows Italian so he spoke with the chef to get us something custom and it was fantastic! Highly recommend. Whoever gave few stars clearly hasn’t been to italy.

So overall i was hesitating between 4 and 5 stars. I ordered the camaron/zucchini pasta. It was very tasty, like really good taste, but the portion was a little small, also not much shrimps. It was served in a very large plate, which made the portion look even smaller. It is served with pieces of bread but no butter or oil to go with it, and since there wasn't much sauce in my plate, that bread felt pretty dry. On the upside, the lemonade i ordered was huge (2 full glasses) and not much sugar added which i prefer. Overall it was a great meal, but small details go a long way, which is the reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5. I still recommend it tho.

That was a "very pleasant" surprise.
Real hand-made Italian food made from scratch by the hands-on owner that cares about the authenticity of his cuisine.
The menu is very straightforward and has everything you would expect.
Chilled white wine and basic but quality selection.
Friendly vibe ... ra ra ra.
