I have been to Kuya J Restaurant before but on some other branches. This is the first time that I have been to its SM Cauayan Branch. We arrive there at around 2pm. I think we were that 4th customer there. So there are a lot of empty seats. I am with my mom who is a senior so I wanted to have a seat comfortable for her. So I chose the couch. I told the waiter that I wanted to seat on an empty couch. She insisted that since its just the 2 of us, we should be seating on a chair not a couch. I started to get irritated so I told her, well I am not leaving since no other customers are coming in anyway. When I told her that she got out of my hair and lets us seat on the couch. This is when I started noticing the dirty tables all around us that no one is attending. The dirty floors and even their rest room smells! So now I can’t even start to imagine what their kitchen would look like and how they serve the food. Now, I’m not hungry anymore. 😱🤮 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Sadly, our experience here is not great. The food doesn't taste very good, just average. We could cook better at home. All the servings are too small for the price, what's supposed to be for 3 people looks like for one person only. The crispy pata is disappointing, it looks like it had been crushed then fried. They also put too much msg. The halo halo is overwhelmingly sweet. You will have a hard time getting the service crew's attention if you need anything. Plus they put a lot of complementary stuff on your bill, it's all free but they will not serve it anyway. We regret coming here..... Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ₱800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The chicken and baked clam were good. Lumpia is okay but the sauce... not so good. Not the real lumpia sauce. Chopseuy is bland. I can only see few carrots... beans, cabbage. I am even sure if there was a cauliflower or bell pepper. Kare Kare is not that tasty. :-( You can compare how KuyaJ prepare their food in Metro Manila. At SM Cauayan, it seems like somenof KuyaJ's touch were gone.
This place is not good. Poor customer service. The server or waiter/ wAitress is not even smiling. We went there yesterday and the waitress got mistake from our other. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ₱600–800 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Great place to eat when craving for delicious Filipino foods.
I am fond at eating at Kuya J SM Cauayan. The ambiance is relaxing and the food is great. I will definitely give five stars.
