Kumsal never disappoints! I've been going to this place (well, in various different locations) since 1990s and it has been consistently great! I admire this consistency!! I forgot to take photos but, fava, samphire, rocket+tomato salad, grilled sardines were delicious!

Such a great place for Raki and all kinds of Mezze. The service was great and staff were very friendly. Prices are so reasonable compared to the great service they provide. We were absolutely satisfied and will definitely go back for having drinks.

One of the best seafood restaurants in town. Specializes in Black Sea fish. Not too expensive. Vallet parking service is available. Very spatious interior space, and outdoor seating (which is heated for winter use) Reservations recommended, especially for dinners.

Despite the fact that Kumsal is an old, well known establishment & still pretty popular, i must say it is barely a 2 star restaurant. The olive oil dishes are a disaster, seafood appetizers, such as lakerda, shrimp, calamari taste below aveeage. And the grilled levrek was also not the best i had. Service is average as well. If i compare Kumsal, Trilye & Sur restaurants, definitely Sur is on the top, Trilye is kind of fancy & over priced but at least food tastes better so comes 2nd in my list, Kumsal has better prices but i would rather pay a little more but eat decent food. Due to all of the above i wont go back to Kumsal myself & wont recommend.

One of my favorite in Ankara. Point 1: Alcohol available. Point 2: Very affordable. Wish it booming business forever. So sad that I am going to leave Turkey.

Authentic Turkish good that tastes like it was prepared by the Sultans personal chef. Absolutely the best I’ve had here so far. The cabbage rice roll and eggplant was fantastic!

One of the best and oldest established raki restaurants in Ankara. It's still one of the best ones. Great fish and seafood, lovely mezze, all very appetizing. Worth a detour.

This place is a solid 5 star. While being famous for it's fish dishes for 35+ years, you can also enjoy meze and raki here in a chilled atmosphere. Once you enter their garden your first impression will be that it looks basic, but it's all about the crowd and the service team who have been regulars of this place for years even before they moved from their previous place in Kızılay.

Went here on a Saturday and it was packed. Reservations is a must here. Despite being so crowded service was really good and the staff was friendly too. Appetizers were ok but the fish was very fresh. No frozen calamari here. Everything is fresh and brought daily due to the popularity of the place. There is no parking but they have valet service. Prices are not so bad. Overall no complaints but there better options for fish in Ankara.
