Good place to find fresh fish and other seafood menu in the neighborhood. We often go to this place: both to the snack bar and the restaurant area because they have quality fresh seafood and big portions. And I can definitely recommend their amazing oysters :) Also, the view over the harbour is pretty nice. My friend rokk me here. Forgetting my seafood allergy. But no problem. They have vegetarian oastas and beefsrunk. Bestifully served great taste. As i heard the fish was delicious too. Famous fish restaurant at the end of the harbour of IJmuiden. On the opposite side of the harbour the enormous bulk of Tata Steel. Busy restaurant, reservation strongly recommended. On entering we noticed some too loud music which however fortunately was subdued quickly. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Prices were quite high; a glass of wine costs 9 euros, a bottle 45. Cheapest main dish was fish and chips at 17 euros. We had the 'oil fried fish' plate for two or more people at 38 euros per person. The breaded prawn, octopus rings, plaice and 'kibbeling' were well fried, crispy and delicious, the fish croquettes I found unremarkable but we couldn't finish them anyway as the portions were very generous. Finished off with some good coffee although the roast was a bit too dark for my taste. The food was lovely, delicious. Lovely views over the harbour. The fish had no smell. The service was very slow and not that efficient. I have read other reviews, the menus are only in Dutch, it’s not in a tourist area but it is near ferry’s coming in and out. I would recommend but do not eat here if you are in rush for the ferry. The location is very good, the place is tastefully renovated, the apple pie was delicious, but there is no lactose-free milk or vegetable milk on offer, so I couldn't drink coffee. April 9th 2023 - again a Easter Brunch at this famous fish restaurant, always as usual a 10 out of 10, thanks - oysters a dozen - fish soup - Salmon - tray of divers seafood ect. Friendly and sweet waitresses with great service! Perfect place to enjoy a plate of fresh fried fish with a glass of cold beer! All kinds of boats passing by outside the windows makes this restaurant even more attractive!

Tried a lot of their food and honestly really good, and extremely tasty! Downside the price and some dishes don't even come with some salad or any sides.
