Nestled in a picturesque setting, this restaurant offers an enchanting experience amidst beautiful surroundings. The ambiance is truly mesmerizing, creating an unforgettable dining atmosphere. While the food is undoubtedly good, the prices may leave some guests expecting a bit more in terms of value. However, for those seeking a remarkable setting to savor their meal, this place certainly delivers on the beauty and charm it promises. Atmosphere and ambiance was 10/10. The space, architecture and artwork is stunning. The food at Kin Toh was okay at best. It was definitely not worth the price tag. I paid ~$440 CAD for my dinner. Split a bottle of wine with the group & I ordered the scallop dish as an appy which was underwhelming. I didn’t love the flavour combinations. I had the salmon as a main which was also underwhelming, a tad overcooked for my liking. The honeycomb dessert was interesting and probably my favourite thing I had ordered! I would recommend doing the sunset cocktail experience… and eating somewhere else. The vibes on the rooftop are unbeatable & the views breathtaking. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
We went for breakfast and the atmosphere was awesome. We had a visit from a lizard friend. The food is good, breakfast seems a bit American as opposed to Mexican/Mayan. Definitely worth checking out Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $600–700 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food truly looks beautiful, there's no denying that. It's good food too, but in Tulum and the surrounding areas, honestly, it doesn't quite live up. It's tasty but for the price and premium they expect the quality isn't matching with many local restaurants. I'd still recommend giving it a try if you'd really like to as it is a beautiful environment with beautiful and still very good food, it's just nothing mind-blowing. Just be prepared for possible heat and humidity being awful and the onslaught of creatures that can bring. I was there in August, the hottest time of the year for Tulum, and being an open air jungle treehouse style restaurant the heat and humidity were unbearable and made more uncomfortable by the need of servers to walk around with smoke pyres to keep the onslaught of insects away. I choose this restaurant for New Year eve and was very disappointed. Dinner cost was 10200 $ pesos (around 600$) and alcohol was not even included in price ! Every 20 minutes someone was coming to my table and was asking me if I want another drink , just to make the bill higher! for such price I was expecting some entertainment program , excellent food , some New Year decorations, as other places in Tulúm normally do , but they were not prepared at all. For starter I got only one scallop , and for main course small piece of black cod, and some average dessert, and this is dinner for 10200$ pessos? It’s some joke! Of course I complained and they started offering me free champagne and another dish as compensation. In general Food was ok, but it was not great, I visited the best restaurants in Hong Kong, Singapore, NY i know what is excellent food and when i pay such price I expect to get same quality food! The evening was boring , no program absolutely nothing it felt just like normal dinner not New Year Eve dinner. Don’t waste your money and time here, there are better restaurants in Tulum! The ambience and aesthetic is absolutely amazing. It's very chic and very IG worthy. HOWEVER, it was so hot and humid that we couldn't enjoy the experience fully and we were getting eaten up by so many Mosquitos. I had more than a dozen of Mosquitos bites by the time I sat down at our table. The waiter put the bowl of smoke to ward mosquitos away, but the smell of it made me nauseous and we were still getting bit. We had to pay $667 USD to reserve a table and it does NOT include food/drinks...just for the table.....and there was barely anyone there. The 5 of us bought food and drinks and the bill was about $1200. I would have rather paid a door fee to take pictures for 10 mins and then leave. Would have enjoyed the food better if we weren't feeling like we were in an hot humid oven with a million Mosquitos. I've been to high end restaurants with great food, but this isn't one of them. This place is really beautiful but there is very little a/c and it was so hot and humid even in early December when I went. There are mosquitoes too despite all their smoke pyres that make it hard to breathe. The prices are also insane, I knew this restaurant would be on the pricier side but it was about $80 an appetizer and $160 a main (Canadian dollars) which is pricier than Toronto restaurants or even Michelin star restaurants. The food was good and I got a pina colada which was good as well (it was about $40 CAD). So if you can afford those prices then I guess they are worth the price. I think I just had the misconception that Mexico would be less expensive than Canada but I think the prices are very high because of the restaurant’s elaborate architecture. Me and my friend decided to share a main to be economical and our waiter was visibly upset with how little we ordered that I had to purchase an additional drink just so he wouldn’t hate our guts. Our bill came out to about $225 CAD including tips for two people. Be prepared to spend more than that I guess since the atmosphere has a very high premium and waiters will be expecting you to pay more. We went on a Saturday night right when it opened and the restaurant was practically empty. It’s our first day in Tulum and the taxis to and from the restaurant were about $60 for us from the downtown Tulum area. Things seem to be getting jacked up from influencers and prices are skyrocketing in Tulum. Either that or I’m just too broke to be here Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
The restaurant is beautiful without a doubt. Very scenic and amazing views. The place and food is Instagram worthy for sure. Only downside the food wasn’t the best. It looks delicious but it’s fairly mid. Food is always a major consideration for me. They requested a $600 peso deposit before dinning which was odd 🤷🏽‍♂️. But we can only assume why they did that. One of the best ambience and service in tulum, and the best roof top! The food is good but priced to include the overall atmosphere value as a result. The drinks are excellent, particularly the mezcal. The maax cay (grilled octopus) was good and the najil kaab dessert was a treat. This place is GORGEOUS! I would suggest having “before-dinner” drinks and take lots of pics. The staff was nice but it felt like a sauna in the restaurant. We did not have food but we paid $100 for (4) margaritas. #notworthit Meal type Other Price per person $100–200 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
