Decent and cheap food with a great atmosphere right on the Main Street of Tulum. This feels like a spot the locals hang out and well worth a visit

My experience here was absolutely terrible.
#1 the place was disgusting, no effort put into the maintenance and cleaning of dining, kitchen and bathroom. The men's bathroom was absolutely disgusting, with piss all over the floors, leaking water. It was a nightmare
#2 the food... we were served pork tacos... they were okay. We were also served a burrito and neither of us could stomach it, it looked and tasted as if it were prepared in the bathroom.
#3 the service. The place was absolutely dead and yet our server was slow and uncaring. He appeared to be annoyed to be serving us from the moment we showed up. When the issue of the burrito was brought forward, he shrugged and said we were served and so we had to pay. The only time I truly considered walking out on a bill.
This is the FIRST time I've ever felt strongly enough to leave a negative review about any business. I'm not a picky eater. I'm generally very forgiving of wait staff. For lack of better terms, this place is absolute trash.
There are many great restaurants in tulum and not all are overly expensive. Please, save your money and your health and do NOT eat at this establishment.

Decent, inexpensive food. They recently raised their prices a little, but still less expensive than all the other restaurants. Food is ok. Not gourmet but it's pretty good. Service is a little slow but again, you just have to make sure you're on top of them. Overall I like the place. It's good for a good inexpensive meal.

Yo!!! I didn't expect the food in Kalhua to be as awesome as it was. Ended up visiting the restaurant three times in the 8 days I was in Tulum.
Their guacamole is one of the best I've ever eaten. The Devil Style Octopus was the highlight of the meals I had there.
Great atmosphere, popular drinking spot, good place to sit and have a cold beer to people watch. Well priced drinks and OK priced food. Really friendly and attentive staff get the 5 star review. I only had half an hour to quickly grab a drink and some nachos before catching a bus, in my broken Spanish I asked if they could bring it out quickly and bring the bill at the same time - which they did - and I really appreciated it. Thank you. 😊
Food was decent, nothing too special but big selection. Vibe was cool. Service is slow. Prices are good. Unlikely to return but ok spot for average Mexican food if you’re not in a hurry.
Well, generally speaking, brazilians like the beer as cool as possible. The meal was wonderful. Besides the beer was not that cold, when you visit the restaurant, ask for a "cube" without water, only with ice, to freeze the beer. I enjoyed the place.
Our quisadillas were yummy and a nicely portioned. The location was great while waiting for the ADO back to Playa. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our drinks were well made and enjoyable on a hot day. The prices were great! There was a nice breeze, which made it very enjoyable.
I picked the restaurant as it looks cozy from outside. The service was good, and my pineapple margarita was amazing. However food didn't impress me a lot. I ordered chicken fajitas, and it was dry and wasn't served with any salsa. Shrimp cocktail was not bad.
