One of my top haunts. Come here whenever I get the chance. Food is always good and fast. But price has steadily gone up like all other places, still good value in comparison, except the veg dishes, $35ea! holy cow, more expensive than a meat dish, and some many tables were ordering it. Have to wait a little bit during dinner hours as it's usually packed. Good service, attendant. Dropped my chopstick and immediately got replaced. Not your 5 star restaurant atmosphere but a Cafe where you want some tasty value for money Chinese food. I have always wanted to try this place but it was always full. I was happy when we were able to get a table for dinner without having to book. The menu is fairly basic but they do have a range of Cantonese style items on the menu. I think we were served by the owner and they were really personable and it was quite enjoyable interacting with them. The food here is quite nice. We grabbed a few items to share. The prawn fried noodle was nice, particularly the sauce since it was the deep fried noodle topped with the meat. The Fujian fried rice was also nice but it was a bit different to the one I am used to since it didn't have tofu and it was a bit on the dark side. The combination claypot and the salt and pepper pork chop was also really good, as were the fried fishballs. I did notice they had kaya toast so we got some for dessert and it went down nicely. It is easy to see why they are so busy, good food and service. They were also quite efficient in clearing the empty tables so even if they are busy you might just need to wait a bit to get a table. Great quality, value for money and delicious foods! Although we came at a busy time 12:30pm, we got seated in 15mins, and served food quickly. Amazing experience, we will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Roast Pork

As a Hong Konger this place makes me so happy. The duck is so juicy, the skin is crispy. The wonton noodles is really good in NZ standards. The drinks were super authentic. Would definitely come back here prices were also pretty good! 6 wontons with heaps of noodles for 15 dollars!

Yo this is definitely my 10/10 Hong Kong cafe style restaurant that I would recommend anyone to go 👌🏼 they do get pretty busy so please do not expect like great standard customer service, when I say this I meant they are busy all the time and there’s always a queue so do expect they will kick you out the second you finish your meal. BUT, their food is top notch, the best one in AKL. Must try: iced lemon tea 凍檸茶 and any noodles with their homemade chill oil on top 😋 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Noodle Soup

Had dinner here recently. Very crowded. Suggest booking is necessary. The place is pleasant and sitting arrangement was comfortable. The service was attentive and friendly. As for the food we enjoyed it's good taste. There were a good selection of dishes and we intend to return to try some of them.
Went on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a authentic Asian local restaurant. Nothing fancy in terms of the environment but clean, speedy good food. Our first time. Service excellent. Friendly English speaking ladies. Much to our surprise allergy aware. Delicious food. We will be back. We had braised beef meat platter and braised beef noodle soup. Seems to always be busy, which is a good sign. Got the braised beef noodles, which were really nice. Plentiful amounts of beef with great flavour combined with fresh noodles and flavourful broth. Tables could be cleaner but overall a great place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is known for their Cantonese dishes. I came here for lunch and was told that I should definitely try the noodles here (wan tan mee) because it is handmade in the store. Sadly I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. My partner also had the soup noodles with beef brisket but the beef was not tender enough in my opinion. The roasted pork and duck dish was alright but I had better ones in Auckland. Overall, the service was good but the food is average. Not rushing to come back.
