Absolutely delicious addictive and delightful food. The Vietnamese pancakes are to die for. We stopped in for dinner and have been back every week since! This stylish, clean, relaxed and friendly yet professional eatery serves proper Vietnamese food… unlike any of the imitators around. The pancakes… oh my word they are like thin, crispy fried Yorkshire pudding full of supple veg and meat. Everything they make is amazing - the summer rolls with juicy prawns, the crispy wontons - all so incredibly tasty. The pho is delicate and tasty! Rich broth with perfect noodles and beautiful meats. I was quite excited to try this place since the menu did look interesting. It wasn't particularly busy so we ended up grabbing a table in the outside area which was quite nice. We grabbed the entree platter to share and I got the pho as a main. We were waiting for about 20 minutes for the entree and almost an hour for the mains when there was only one other table inside. They did seem to have a few takeaway oders through. The entree platter here is quite nice. It is very generous and the items were tasty. The pho was a bit on the bland side for me but did have a nice fragrance. I also tried some of the grilled pork vermicili and the found the pork to be on the dry side. We dined in on the 09/01 for dinner. We had outdoor dining - pretty interior and outdoor area. Customer Service was amazing 10/10. We had the mixed platter to start off with, perfect portions for the price you pay for! I had the Beef pho - this has become a new favourite and think will be for a while, no complaints. We also had the stir-fry beef with noodles - amazing !!! No complaints. We received more than what we paid for - cannot fault anything. Was gutted when the Thai place closed but it’s wonderful to have a new Vietnamese, while the takeaway menu is small we ordered all 3 of the GF options, wok beef, chicken stirfry and fresh spring rolls. All were delicious and fresh and we will be back. Hopefully more GF options will be added to the menu in the future. We've been to this new Vietnamese restaurant twice, both times were excellent experiences. Good portion sizes, very fresh and tasty food and great friendly service. Nice decor and ambience. Three of us went to Hometown Star on Sunday evening. It's a new Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious food, first class service, and decor was clean and bright. We had the beef vermicelli, chicken vermicelli and spring rolls. The wait staff were polite and helpful. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommended. This is place is awesome! We tried it last night and can’t wait to go back! Staff were so friendly, food came out fast and was super tasty! We both got the spring rolls and beef pho and couldn’t fault it. We dined last Saturday night , the food was delicious, generous sizes and so fresh and tasty! We sampled the fresh spring rolls, -Wontons , Pho, prawn salad ,and noodle stir fry - every dish was superb, not too expensive & very friendly service.
