Food was good. Fish was tasty and potato cakes and chips were good. Customer service could be better. Our drink was missing in the box that we got our large order in and when we called to check, there was no apology. Apparently, we were meant to take it out from fridge ourselves. We as tourists had no idea 😂. We did go collect it next morning though. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Great fish and chips starting at $12 which is well priced for the quantity we got. Our kids got the burgers, with beetroot instead of tomatoes, and loved them. They only have 4 tables outside to eat so plan another option on busy days. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place was such a great stop for a snack! I spent about 8$ on a fish bite and a fried slice of potato which was were delicious. You could probably get a more filling meal for under $20 (and it was SO GOOD) so I would recommend making time to visit here Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips

Visited on boxing day and it was open. Friendly staff, served by Andrew. Portion sizes and prices are average with a hefty surcharge. No cutlery and lemon were provided. Sauce and other condiments are additional prices. Overall, not a bad option if visiting the town. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We liked the burgers but actually it was the only thing we liked :( we were waiting for 2 burgers for 20min... and there were not even enough place to sit while waiting cause there is only one little bench 😬. But whatever the burgers were tasty, can recommend if u are not in a hurry 😉 Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Pricey fish and chips. Good dory crumbed food. Chips were a bit dry and flavourless. Quick cooking times and friendly staff. Crumbed fish was $10 each which felt like a bit much. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Fish

So yum!! We had the $58 family feed. Great amount of food for our family of four who were starving. Included 4 fish, 4 hotdog. 2 scoops, 2 pineapple ring plus sauce and a bottle of coke. Fish was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Tasty as chips too. Didn't have to wait long. There are picnic tables outside with umbrellas which was perfect for a warm summer evening. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Recommended dishes Fish
Our driver said this was the best place to try out the Whitebait fritters, so that's exactly what I did. I'd never had one before so I didn't know quite what to expect. I don't think this will become a favorite but I do like to try new things wherever I go. I would agree that its totally worth trying at least once in your life! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

After an arduous 40 minute drive from Greymouth with stomachs rumbling, my eyes lit up at the sight of Hokitika Townchip! Eagerly anticipating a delicious feed of fish and chips to satisfy my ravenous hunger! After remortgaging my house to pay the staggering $52 for a half scoop of chips, two fish and a burger, we sat down in anticipation of the feast to come! Imagine the immense disappointment that set in when I finally managed to rip through the 327 layers of newspaper which looked like a small forest had been felled to wrap this meal, to reveal a measly 26 chips and two fish that can only be described as malnourished! Tears started flowing down my face in bitter sorrow, the hope of a fulfilling meal now dashed in an instant. I was then reminded of the smug look of the cashier as I’d unwittingly purchased two pottles of tomato sauce, knowing full well that there would be an incredible surplus of such sauce when the light smattering of chips were finished after a few bites. Best yummiest fish and chips in NZ! Stopped off here on the way home up the west coast and was surprised with how busy yet communicative the staff were. We ate our food on the beach and almost went back for more. Very grateful to have such nice people bringing food to us all. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
