Lovely place with a very nice owner, Heman! Best coffee so far in Sri Lanka - he really loves his craft of making of coffee. We tried the Flat Whit, Iced Latte, Americano and Coffee with ice cream (more like a dessert!) - all were perfectly made. Go there and enjoy your coffee the way it is supposed to be.

Best Coffee Shop! Very good Coffee and even better chat with Herman! His small place got a nice, chill vibe (great music in background). We came here especially from Weligama, on a scooter - and it's Worth every minute of road! Don't hesitate and grab a delicious coffee from Herman!

Best Coffe in Sri Lanka. i When we lived in the neighboring town, we went to Tangale every day to see Haman for coffee. Haman is very professional and friendly. He has his coffee beans imported from Italy. Makes all kinds of coffee. We mainly had cappuccino and also coffee with ice cream. Everything was absolutely perfect. If you like coffee, I definitely recommend this place.

Heman's coffee is the ABSOLUTE BEST COFFEE in Tangalle!!! In fact, it's the best coffee I've had in a long time! (I've been living in Sri Lanka for more than 2 years.) The conversation with Heman was equally nice! :)
I don't know why coffee is so incredibly expensive in Tangalle compared to other towns, but if you're going to spend extra for a double shot café latte, (which seems to be known as a "flat white " everywhere else), it might as well be really great local, or really good quality imported coffee. Heman uses Lavazza coffee, which at least explains the cost. (In a Turkish place down the street, they wanted to charge me quite a bit more, PLUS a service charge, and it wasn't even imported coffee!!! That would make it officially the most expensive coffee in Sri Lanka! Why so costly?! 😞)
Anyway, super happy to have found Heman's fantastic coffee shop, and to have met him! Great experience all around! See you next time I'm in Tangalle. And thanks again! ☕

Read all the glowing reviews and was hoping for a decent flat white. Unfortunately i was out of luck and served the usual boiling hot cup of whatever passes for coffee here. I also ordered some toast but decided against it when the guy pulled half a bag of bread out of the freezer.
