Highly recommend!!! Super clean, great & reasonable prices, great quality food and decent portion sizes. Lovely Japanese owners and staff, super hospitable and just honestly made my day. Modern design inside, comfy seating inside and outside, good for dine in & take out. Stopped here for a quick snack, got a pack of 10 crispy chicken sushi & a berry flavoured real-ice-cream in a waffle cone. Sooo yuuumm!! - Waffle cone was so fresh, berry ice cream was delish! - Sushi was so fresh and well made, great flavour, chicken was soo good, not dry, and the slices were huge!! Was a full on meal lol Will 100% be visiting again when I'm back in the area for sure!

Real friendly and efficient service. Dogs okay outdoors seating and tables. Good honest Japanese fare well prepared, nicely presented and good portions. New owners who are stepping up the quality. There special prawn dish is amazing! They also introduced authentic mocha bubble tea (very Japanese and very yummy). If you are after kiwi food, they have you covered with their cheesy wheezy dish.

Literally our favourite place in Tauranga! The food is SO GOOD and hand crafted with care. Quality ingredients and such lovely staff. We used to live in Matua and have moved away now but still come back as much as possible for the spicy karage weezy, donburi bowls and matcha lattes. You’ve got to try Head Loco!! They also have daily fresh sushi in the cabinet that is always fresh and delicious at a reasonable price. Ordered salmon poke, teriyaki donburi & fish + wedges. Salmon poke bowl was fantastic generous amount of salmon, very fresh veges and quality rice. Nice relaxed atmosphere and good service. Will be back.

I've tried this AGEDASHI TOFU. Deep fried tofu in warm konbu dashi sauce. Delicious vegan dish.

Brilliant food and service. Nice and clean atmosphere. I had the sashimi poke bowl while hubby and the kids had cheesy weezys, fish & hot dogs and we were all impressed by everything 👌
