Hayhu Beach Club was every bit as gorgeous as I hoped it would be. The service was gracious and wonderful, there was good and prompt communication. The beach was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The food was incredible, the drinks were also very tasty and generous portion sizes. The roads to get to the club and back to the port- that ride can be rough and a little nerve wracking. Which is obviously not something the folks at the beach club have any control over, I just mention it so people who are visiting can be prepared. We did see monkeys and some wildlife during the trip back to the port.

Secluded beach break with wonderful views and service. Getting to the taxi, you must walk through the whole port, exit the port, and continue to walk down the middle of road till you get to the intersection. There you will be met by someone who will check your name and get a taxi for you. As stated, there is no charge for the taxi, but know that they will politely ask for a tip. After about a 20 min taxi ride you will be dropped off at Hayhu. I was met by one of the employees and was promptly shown to my area in front of the beach. The water was beautiful, and the sand was nice. They have a shower to wash off the sand, bathrooms and changing rooms. For lunch, there was no knowledge of my fully paid reservation and/or how much credit I was to receive. I had to pull up the email and they had to contact the owner to verify everything. This was a little inconvenient, but it worked out and my credit was determined as 150 dollars. The food and drinks were wonderfully and beautifully prepared, but it was pricey. For 1 lobster tail, 1 fish fillet, 1 steak, 4 empanadas, 1 bone marrow, 1 alcoholic drink, 4 smoothies and 2 waters came out to 225 dollars, not including tip. Thus, my balance was 75 dollars after the 150 dollars in credit. On the other hand, one thing that is awesome is that they use wood, not coal, to grill the meats which makes the food taste fantastic. The wonderful sauces are an exceptional complement to the dishes, giving everything full flavor. This was easily one of my top 3 best meals on my 7-night cruise and I ate all the specialty restaurants on RCCL. Suggestion: It would be nice to have someone explain all the amenities and to be asked if we would like any of them. For example, in the description on the website it states that towels are included. But I was not asked if I needed any or where they might be located. If the amenities were shared in the beginning, it would be easier to ask, locate and use, thus creating added value to my experience. Bottom line, my 3 children and I loved our time there and would likely go back again. If you want a more secluded beach experience with wonderful food and service and are willing to pay a bit more for it, I recommend this establishment.

I have never been to such a secluded beautiful beach club. I purchased the cruise day pass. Our driver Gabriel picked us up at the cruise port. We drove about a half hour to get to Hayhu. The drive is a bit bumpy but trust me, it’s worth it. Upon arrival we were shown to our private area on the beach which included two high quality lounge chairs, an umbrella, a beach bed/lounger under a canopy and a little bistro set. The service was great and the food was damn good. The blackened shrimp tostada stood out. The club slowly filled up throughout the day but was never crowded. Lovely spot.

A hidden gem in the Mahahual/Costa Maya area. My wife and I saw reviews of the overcrowded, touristy beaches close to the Costa Maya cruise port and wanted to find somewhere away from the crowds to relax by the beach with good food and drinks. Hayhu exceeded our expectations. We took the 30 minute cab ride from the cruise port and spent about 4 hours at the beach club. There was maybe 15 other people there. The place is a vibe with really cool furniture and design. The music was quiet and mellow - this is definitely a place to chill, not a party scene. The beach was clean and the water was beautiful turquoise. The drinks and food were a bit pricey (about $15 for a cocktail or burger) but both were very good, worth every penny in my opinion. The staff was very friendly and professional with good English too. If I ever go back to Costa Maya, I will be going straight back to Hayhu no doubt. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were there in November 2023 for the day. We were one of the first people to get off the ship as I wanted get the most out of our time at the resort. Booking was simple and the staff replies quickly to inquiries and messages. We booked the Beach & Jungle plan and I’m glad we did because it afforded us our own private area to relax in. You are encouraged to communicate via WhatsApp which is a quick download on your cellphone and easy to use. A week before arriving we received an email with instructions on how to get to the pickup area and find our driver. A few days before arrival we received a message from the driver with his picture and more instructions. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get from your ship to the pickup spot because it takes a good 15-20 minutes. Also, make sure you communicate the time correctly you want to be picked up to go to the resort and head back to the ship by clarifying your pickup time in their time zone rather than ship time if you are there on a port day. The ride to the property takes about 25-30 minutes from the port and you will lose cell service, but the resort offers free WiFi that works well. But if ever there is a day to unplug, this is it! We arrived and hopped out and Carlos was waiting at the entrance with a smile. He gave us a tour, introduced us to the team, and guided us to our reserved spot. We enjoyed a cute covered area with 2 sun loungers, 2 bean bags, and 2 tables for food and beverages. The beach was clean and the resort was charming and comfortable. We were soon settled in and we placed an order for 2 mango smoothies, which turned out to be fresh and not overly sweet; perfect! We quickly received our shrimp tostadas which were so amazing! We also thoroughly enjoyed the guacamole and sashimi. The menu prices were very reasonable and the portions were nice. Everyone was very kind, smiled and the staff checked on us enough that we felt taken care of but were not overly bothered as we relaxed and enjoyed the beach and the peaceful surroundings. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with excellent food, beverages, and service choose this place. It is not a party atmosphere, which is great if you are looking to completely disconnect in a quiet place. There is an outdoor shower area to wash off the sand, a massage area on the beach where a nice young lady will work the tension out of your body, clean facilities, a bar area, and plenty of seating areas if you want to get out of the sun or socialize with others. The resort offers kayaks and during our stay there was no sargassum on the beach. There was a very small clump in the water farther out in the ocean, which was not a bother at all. I highly recommend this place as there isn’t much to do in the Costa Maya area aside from some Mayan ruins and the beach and I would definitely venture here for an extended off the grid stay. We paid cash and tipped the staff and were picked up on time. You are asked what time you want to leave and they arrange a driver to pick you up at that time. We were back on the ship 1 hour before final boarding. Overall I can’t say enough about this place.

Great drinks, great food. Amazing staff with amazing relaxing views. Very easy to get to from the cruise port and back. Everything went great, and was safe and would recommend!
Absolutely amazing experience. The mescal drink with rosemary was so unique, everyone in our group loved their meals. It’s a private remote beach setting but with 5 star diamond restaurant style gourmet food & cocktails at a very reasonable price. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Only bad thing, is that the owner thinks he is obliged to push music loud. This is useless. If you want to take rest this is really bowring. Connecting with nature as it is the moto of the hotel does not need to transform the place into a disco. Fortunately the owner is kind enough to disconnect some speakers when asked. Great place, great food, great service. Looks like Tulum some years ago. hope it will stay authentic as it is now. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
This place is truly a gift from heaven! let's start with the fact that it's in the middle of the jungle and you get to have a private beach! The rooms to stay overnight are gorgeous and overlook the whole club. The staff is super friendly and is always around to bring drinks or whatever you need. The Seaweed gets cleaned every day and throughout the day so that's a HUGE plus! sadly not much anyone can do with that but the BEACH is still incredible and so worth getting a little peace of heaven for a couple of hours. They also have a dinner menu now and had a chance to try it and man it was delicious. Highly recommend this place for foodies, heaven seekers and EVERYONE! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–100
