Pies are nice, and pastries are excellent. The sandwiches are average. I got a chicken "salad" sandwich for $6,50. What you see in the cabinets is just for show. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Great selection of fresh sandwiches, pastries, pies, quiches, sausage rolls, croissants, rolls and other assorted goods. Seemingly all made in house with fresh bread available in the morning. Bacon quiche, blue cheese/steak pie and custard bread twist were all great. More interesting options than other bakeries in Wellington and for reasonable prices! Shop got pretty packed in the time I was there. Cold drinks also available.

Finally got here being on this side of town after a long day and in need of near midnight sustenance. Pies and pastries abound. I took the blue cheese n steak combined with a custard twist. Absolutely delicious.

Super classic kiwi bakery! A huge range of affordable sweet treats and a mass of pies. I noticed only one vegetable pie—pumpkin pie. I’d assume vegetarian (because NZ doesn’t use lard often) but not sure and didn’t try it. I thoroughly enjoyed the apple doughnut and partner loved the flapjack! The custard slice has thick flakey layers of pastry and a smooth custard filling. Loved it all!
