Food was good. The service was good but when time came to check out I don’t know for sure but it seemed like a waitress tried to fraud me while I was counting cash. Very disappointing. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

A very cosy and lovely place to round up a nice day in Amsterdam with a wonderful and tasty meal. I can highly recommend the menu of the day for three courses for about 30 Euro. In my case an tasty aparagus soup followed bay a lamb filet with vegetables and homemade fries and a delicious pie with caramel sauce, some fruits and cream topping. For the main dish you could choose between vegetables, meat or fish.
It took forever to get our order on the table (60 minutes, Sunday lunch). Horribly understaffed for the size of the restaurant. Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Herring

The dining experience at Harmsen is one of the highlights during my short stay in Amsterdam. We dined here the first night we landed and realised we have unintentionally set Harmsen as the benchmark and whenever we went afterwards, we compare the experience with Harmsen. Food is flawless especially the grilled sea bass and I have no complaints on all the dishes we had. The waitress who always carries a smile whenever she came by the table elevated the dining experience. Nice ambience and cosy decor. I would totally recommend anyone who visit Amsterdam to make a stop at this place.

Awesome food, very mild steaks, free salad, wide enough choice of wine. And a very home and warm atmosphere inside. Real hidden gem!

Harmsen Restaurant Café - Great Food in a Casual Atmosphere Chef Olaf Harmsen serves up a creative and well-priced menu in the Rembrandtplein area of Amsterdam. We enjoyed a three-course, prix fixe, meal (soup of the day, a pick of one of three entrees, and a dessert) for €29.50. I enjoyed the corn soup with coriander and sesame, duck with seasonal vegetables, and peach Melba for dessert. My husband and I liked it so much we returned within a week. The patio in the back is great for summer evenings. The wine list, although not extensive, is adequate for pairing - we ordered by the glass. The service was top-notch and they have Apple-pay.
One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! Excellent food for a reasonable price (the 3-course menu is €29.50). The linguine vongole, with a dash of chili & coriander, is so tasty! On my last visit, I had the Texel lamb chops from the daily specials. The quality of the meat was sublime and it was grilled to perfection! The wine list is small but the selection is great. And the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It’s not a big place so either make a reservation or go early.
Excellent service, environment, and food was really amazing! I had the meat of the day, a bavete!!! The best I had in The Nederlands so far! Frwnch fries also delicious
I...am...speechless! I’ve just had an absolutely perfect meal. Wow wow wow. We had the daily set menu for €29.50 which consisted of Bopo Vietnamese soup, a Rib Eye steak with seasonal vegetables, and a lemon cake/tart. Every bite transported me into gastronomic heaven. I don’t think I can adequately sell this place enough. Just one word for you if you’re considering this restaurant... go!!!
Fantastic dinner experience that I can speak from my own experience 2 nights ago.
