It's a very small menu which is great. I'm not a fan of huge menus. It takes forever to decide what to eat and most of the food is similar with different ingredients. The small menu allows the kitchen to focus. The pho is great. It has the taste of a slow and low cooked soup base. The rice plate is also very good. The decor is very fun. We had a party of 8 in for dinner on Friday night. Very switched on waiter, he looked after us for the entire evening and his service was great. Amazing cocktails here, everyone loved them! They do a chilli one which is unreal! All the food came out at the same time and was delicious. The pork ribs, spring rolls and Bun Cha were a hit with everyone. We finished off with desserts and Vietnamese coffees. These were also delicious, Don's Mess is recommended!! All in all for 8 people with multiple dishes and a few drinks each, this came to just over $600 which is fantastic value for money for epic food and drink. Cant wait to go back!! DISAPPOINTING The food is nice however they are small serves if ordering takeaway, it's expensive in comparison to similar restaurants and it takes them a very long time to prepare your order. Be prepared to wait an additional 20 mins on top of when they say it will be ready! You also have to order extra ingredients if you want a semi-decent amount in your dish. This is an option when ordering online. The photos are pho beef with extra meat. This cosy me $20. Overall it's a disappointing experience.

Cambridge locals, been customers for over 4 years for takeaways. First time tried to go for lunch there, one other table of 2 apart from us and we got basically kicked out because we were taking up “too much space” and we had a buggy with us and it was “a nuisance” to other customers (one table apart from us). The guy had a terrible attitude, no customer service skills, told us to move, complained about the buggy, and that our girls sat at another table (they wouldn’t be staying there for the meal). If you have kids, buggies, wheelchairs, etc don’t bother. I have never encountered such poor reception at a cafe in my life. Shame on you. We absolutely loved the food at Hanoi Boy as we came across options for lunch. We ordered the pho bo and bun cha and didn't have to wait long. The soup was so delicious and the noodles very fresh and springy. Definitely very unique from other Vietnam restaurants we have tried before. The ambience and layout of the restaurant was also very pleasing. There's also a large selection of drinks and wines to pair with your food so it makes taste better. 100% will be having it again. Best restaurant in Cambridge hands down! Our table of 5 was taken care of perfectly and the food is absolutely next level! The ribs were fall of the bone tender and the calamari was almost too delicious! Definitely recommend the ginger and kaffir brulee.
