Asked for sauce, but was told it won't be needed, and that its all in the flavour of the fresh fish. One of the best fish and chips I've had! Tasty batter and tender fish. Can tell they take great pride in their fish and chips. Portion size for the blue cod is smaller for the price though, but indubitably tasty. Sole and Groper portions will be larger.

We tried the battered blue cod which is really nice! The proportion is big too! The fish is really fresh and juicy inside! So fresh!
The half scoop chips is enough for 2 person!
Only the ketchup is 1 NZ which is a bit expensive.
There are sea mews fighting for foods, be careful with that, 🤣

Wow we’re so glad we decided to stop by on our way back from the Moeraki boulders. Delicious fish and chips, and the owner is really sweet and friendly too.
We got the battered blue cod, batter was thin and fluffy, fish was tender and cooked to perfection. Beer battered chips were awesome too with the right amount of crunch. Definitely worth the stop!

Had fish and chips here on a cold and wet Easter night, pretty close to closing time. This is a great place for fish and chips, and it has a very good reputation. Food made to order, and you get a choice of fish. We chose sole, but you could get blue cod or traditional elephant fish. Sole is cost effective and really nice. I enjoyed the food greatly. One of us was said to say that it was the "best fish and chips they had ever tasted". I concur...

Had fish and chips on the way to CHC from IVC. Chips some of the best. I have ever had. Fish and other items cooked to perfection. Great place and full marks for opening new years eve.

Seriously the best fish and chips ever. Battered or Crumbed fish. The battered mussels are large and absolutely amazing. The Blue Cod and Elephant Fish is to die for. I got 1 scoop chips and should have just got half a scoop. Will be a go to when I head South again. The guy whom served us was damn good bloke!
Blue cod was delicious, batter beautiful, and chips were amazing. Service was excellent. Food ready in 5 minutes. Couldn’t ask for anything better
