This hotel is on top of a mountain - we stayed here as part of a walking holiday. Full panoramic views from all sides - amazing. ||It's not fancy - quite 70's pine - but the rooms are comfortable and the food is AMAZING. We were overwhelmed at breakfast and dinner by both the quantity and quality. ||An original place in a world of places that look the same. ||Wifi was a bit weak, if that's a concern.

When hiking the Lykian way you basically hike from one fantastic view to the next. In that perspective it is really impressive that this hotel offers views to absolute top almost any other view I have seen on the Lykian Way....The view from Belos ruins being a possible exception. The hotel seems a bit run down but it has great atmosphere and a very nice staff. Price includes dinner (great food and lot of it) and breakfast (good breakfast and lots of it). When I stayed there it was in beginning of may and due to the altitude there was a fire lit during the afternoon and night. Nice!||||Oh, I almost forgot, the staff made me a nice lunch paket without being asked and without charge. I enjoyed it tremendously in to forest on the way down the Goynuk gorge.

this hotel is worth for its location, which is incredible in the montains. The hotel is all wooden like, which gives a lot of charm. However, I had some critics with the rooms, since the sheets where bad quality and the shower was not so good either (the room itself felt old). However, the dinner was one of the best meals I ever had in my life and the freshness of the breakfast was remarcable.

We arrived at the gül mountain hotel by accident during our hike of the lycian way. After some difficulties of finding our way there, we felt very warmly welcomed by the hotel owner. During our entire stay, the hotel kept surprising us, first of all with a very empathetic service (for example offering laundry at our arrival, making a little fire at the chimney, small market shelf with cookies, lunch package). The kitchen was outstanding, beyond all our expectations and all the food we've had in Turkey. I have never had such a good ayran before! The views were outstanding as well, with a terrace to every side of the house, so you could sit in the sun for every meal and wake up with a sunrise in your window. We can recommend going there to every hiker, even if it is a little off track and even if it just for one night. However, there is enough to do there to stay for more days and recover from hiking.

We came across this rustic hotel and restaurant on a drive out from the Finike area. It has good views and the added on annex gives a second area for guests to use. There is an indoor pool (covered for the winter) and a small sauna room. The main lounge and restaurant area was also warm and welcoming. We had lunch in the annex conservatory and had a very good Turkish lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We asked to look at the rooms and the one we were shown was clean and basic Turkish with a closed in balcony with wood burner. Rates we were quoted included Breakfast and Dinner. Short stay would be OK. It is advertised as open 24/7 and is geared to hikers and short stay for a break.

Great location, staff try hard and that's its for the good points.|Rooms have no sound proofing, showers are designed for 8ft tall thin people. Had to de limescale the shower head to be able to use it. Lights blew when turned on, carpets are sticky and dirty. Beds are used and in poor condition.|Door handles don't lock on rooms easily, corridors are dirty and carpets are easily tripped over.|Food is adequate, but you eat in a long table with groups travelling together, who didn't want to chat. Separate tables would have been nice.|WiFi doesn't work on the top floor, as basic staple of a hotel in 2019 is working WiFi in ALL rooms.||If you must stay here, stay here, but if you have other choices, go there!||Reviewed honestly October 28th 2019

Doing the Lycian Way at the end of the season meant that many of the places we stayed at were winding down. We were one of only two couples staying at this large hotel, although there were some large tour groups at lunch. This meant that the advertised pool and sauna we were looking forward to were not available, which was disappointing.||Nonetheless, we received very good service. Our dinner was delicious and vast, and we were very surprised and touched the next day to be sent off with an unsolicited packed lunch.||On the negative side, the otherwise good wifi didn't work in our room. This was a minor complaint, well compensated by the rare luxury of a hot bath.||I would give it three stars, but the extra one is for service levels.

There’s not much on offer in the area if you are walking the Lycian Way.||This place has so much potential but feels forlorn- in a time warp really. Bit depressing really.||The plus was great wifi! Room was old but clean. Food was plentiful- almost too plentiful really.||Not much to do around the lodge. Good for an overnight- we stayed 2 nights in order to have a rest but should only have had one night.
Yes, maybe the hotel has seen better days, but we enjoyed our two days stay very much, while walking the Lycian Way thoroughly and would recommend it by all means, also the view and climate are amazing and the staff treated us in the most kind way, highly recommended.

Good place to stay when hiking on the Lycian way or other paths through the mountains near Antalya. The rooms are basic and a bit damp and the whole place has a bit of an outdated touch, but this is the only drawback, as the food served is great, the views of the Antalya bay and the mountains are beautiful and the staff is very friendly.
