I came here with a tour group. The restaurant is large and has a pleasant atmosphere. Great staff and the food was good. I recommend adding this restaurant to your visit.
They were very friendly and the food was amazing! Honestly, I am not a huge fan of middle eastern food, but the chicken they made was fabulous! The flavor was absolutely fantastic and i would highly recommend that you eat here when in Bethlehem!

We visited the Grotto as part of a tour as did apparently most of the room of 200+. We were served food "family style" sharing the likes of pita bread, hummus, cabbage, etc. The chicken and kabob was served by pieces to each individual. Live entertainment was provided by local dance group.
Stopped with our tour, while in the area. Great service and wonderful food. I’m not an expert in Bethlehem, but you won’t be disappointed here.

Grotto restaurant is your choice for an authentic Palestinian meal, both for lunch and dinner.
Located by the catholic church of the Shepherds field, Grotto is formed as a bedouine tent, comfortable 8 seaters' tables overlooking the olive trees terrace of the valley.
The restaurant has easy access for your car or tourist bus, and for disabled people.
The toilets are on spot as well.
The ambience is mid-eastern live music all the time.
The meals consist of local fresh mezza, on spot oven for bedouine bread, and a wide choice of meat, chicken and other specialities.
Wide range of wine and beer is served as well.. and much important the prices are so reasonble.
WORTH IT. Don't leave Bethelehem without visiting Grotto restaurant.
