If you're staying in or around Lake Kawaguchi I highly recommend venturing here and checking out gris.
The selection of cakes are plentiful and you get a substantial serving. The croissants are also packed to the brim and you won't go hungry when you leave.
The eclectic interior and exterior design are both inviting and warm. Do yourself a favour and go!

Stunning location and food! We had the apple pie with coffee - the pie was fresh and absolutely lovely. The coffee was a nice pick-me-up for the remainder of our bicycle ride. A nice and quiet space to chill out. Definitely recommend for foodies!

Great place to stop while biking or walking around Lake Kawaguchiko! Their patio is covered and gets a nice breeze. Wide assortment of pies that are served with ice cream!

We were cycling around Lake Kawaguchi and saw this early on, but circled round again as it looked like the nicest place we passed. It didn’t disappoint! Probably the best cafe latte we’ve had in ages, and definitely since we got to Japan. The staff are lovely and the cakes look delicious. If you’re looking for somewhere to stop, try and get to here.
