It fits it's niche really well. A great place for a casual dinner with your better half, friends or colleagues. Noise level is understandable for the informal sphere. Good food. It has a bar but it isn't a bar. Show up early or make reservations. It is busy.

Ruysdael is a place that I visit often, for a reason. Whenever you enter you are welcomed, quickly guided to a seat, and then it's all smooth sailing from there. Birthday? Celebrations. Anniversary? Celebrations. They're willing to help you celebrate or to keep you resting. They quickly grasp your mood and interact with you accordingly. The food is good and wholesome. They have a nice variety of dishes to choose from and they are always ready to make adjustments. Want your bread thinner sliced? You can! No whipped cream on your ice cream? Can do! All in all a fantastic place.

Great selection of sandwiches, beer, and tea. Very cozy. Nice outdoor seating for sunny days, fireplace inside makes rainy day visits great, too. You can't choose wrong, but I like to get the chicky chicky.

A nice grand café in Heemskerk with a delicious food and superb service. Several options to eat of menu or try the three course meal. Shared dessert option was more than enough for two.
