Fantastic Filipino-Vietnamese Cuisine Experience
I recently dined at Garlic and Mint El Nido, a hidden gem serving delightful Filipino-Vietnamese cuisine.
We ordered the beef stew soup, chicken soup, and cheese bread
all were outstanding,
with perfectly cooked noodles and a surprisingly non-oily broth.
Despite the small space,
the restaurant was bustling with satisfied customers.
Although I don't have photos (we couldn't resist digging in!),
the cheese bread was a highlight,
and the entire meal was enjoyed by both my daughter and our friends.
The staff was friendly,
contributing to a warm atmosphere.
I highly recommend
Garlic and Mint El Nido
a must-visit for anyone in the area!

This restaurant is a hidden culinary gem! Food is amazing, prices are reasonable compared to the restaurants located at Hama st, and the staff is very helpful and kind!
We loved it so much that we ate there twice! I fell in love with their Pork Liempo, it was hands down the best dish I had in El Nido so I had that again.
We also tried the Garlic Adobo Pork, the meatballs Pho and the Garlic Banh Mi. Everything is freshly made and flavors are just mouth watering.
If I ever come back, I'll definitely stop by again!

Chicken bun pattie
Wet from oil. Tasteless. Just max 2/10
Fries. Wet from oil but still raw (probably cooked on cold oil).
I've informed stuff but didn't expect refund but as I haven't been offered that: 1/10 in service as well. Other people were OK with food. Mine was probably just an exception.

Had the garden rolls and the tofu banh mi, both of which were very good, but greatly improved by the excellent peanut sauce. Honestly both would have been a little bland without it, so if just ordering tofu banh mi, maybe ask for a side? Friendly service and nice second floor terrace.

Vegetarian Fresh Spring Roll
Good Vietnamese food. The pho portion size is a bit small, but fair enough given they're only 240 pesos each. Those looking for a big bowl of pho might be better off ordering 2 bowls. The fresh rolls were good too. Nice atmosphere upstairs where you can watch people walk past below.

Rating our personal experience at Garlic & Mint a 5 out of 5! Vietnamese Food is extremely good! Went back here twice already— quality of food and presentation is top notch. Food service is commendable despite of the fact they’re understaffed.
Note:garlic and mint also serves cocktail drinks such as Margarita and Mojita.
