The best place in Sri Lanka. The hotel and restaurant are owned by a wonderful local fisherman's family. There is a very relaxed, family atmosphere. The room was very cozy and clean with a balcony overlooking the lake. They have a beautiful garden and the owner's wife cooks the best Rice and Curry I have ever eaten. Thank you for a lovely time at your hotel. I will definitely come back here. It's heaven on earth.

The best place in Sri Lanka. We love all family of this restaurant. Amazing srilankan fresh food (rice and curry, fresh fish) beautiful room with two balcony and only 1 minute from the beach. Amazing nature with wild animals. We will back here all our life. Thank you so much for everything. ❤️

Fischerman's Restaurant is a restaurant run by a very warm-hearted family. The food is not only incredibly tasty but also makes us feel right at home. While there might be occasional waits, these can easily be avoided by pre-ordering. We frequented the restaurant for breakfast, often pre-ordering the night before. A breakfast featuring Hoppers or Rotti alongside Sambal, Dhal, and Fish Curry comes highly recommended. The vegetable curries we enjoyed in the evenings with freshly caught fish were also delightful!

I had the best experience in Sri Lanka thanks to this family, the wife is a great chef and her husband gave me the chance to go fishing on the boat with him and the crew! It was incredible!

People are kind and the food was decent. But the tables were super dirty and no one cleaned them. The food took 2.5hs (we got there at 1:30 and left at 4:15). The curry is not what you'd expect in a curry. The fish one of us ordered was good, but too little, too late imho

Very bad hygiene! My friend got infected because of the way the restaurant is filled with dogs with parasites on them and a boy who is always sitting ON the tables. The waitress who is also the cook is fantastic, but the low level, or rather lack of, hygiene makes it all a negative experience.

We had an amazing lunch at this place. Everything was freshly cooked and made with love.We tried many other restaurants in this area, but this was really the best restaurant we found. The taste is incredibly awesome. We will come back for dinner.

Such a beautiful restaurant with really delicious traditional Sri Lanka food. I was eating there two times and it was really good especially the curry and coconut sambal. They make everything fresh and you can also preorder curry if you want special/individual curry’s - they make everything possible. Besides the food it is also a nice atmosphere as it is surrounded by a great garden with beautiful plants and with love to details. It is owned by a local Sri Lankan family and they are so friendly and warm-heartily. So if you want delicious food in a nice surrounding and support the local ones (there are also many accommodation/ restaurants owned by non Sri Lanka people) , I can only recommend it. I will definitely come back on my next trip - thank you so much :)
