We visited on a rainy & windy Saturday midday for eats & drinks. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and the food & drinks were good. We had the Hamburger which was very good; excellent meat patty; my lunch special beenham sandwich on 'brown bread' (focaccia) was underwhelming; the bread was over toaster & the 'beenham' was more thin strips of bacon, but the truffel fries I ordered on the side were A-Mazing!!; highly recommend. All in all it was a pleasant experience but like all strand pavilions, I find the vibe lacking or non-existent; more a personal observation than a judgement on this specific place.
The restaurant is located in the north of the island of Texel in the immediate vicinity of the lighthouse. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Access with pets, dogs, is allowed and they are provided with water.
The food is prepared well for a location like this. We recommend it, especially since you have a wide view of the beach and the nearby lighthouse.
Faro 2. There is no Faro 1, but they called it Faro 2 because the old Faro was a self service restaurant. Faro 2 I would highly recommend. Advised to book a table in advance when visiting with a big group. They were very helpful with giving us a table outdoors. Service is good and well organized. The beach view is great, this part of the island is very quiet.
This is the building near the sand beach. The beach is very large with a lot of sands and shells. It is not allowed to swim here. When the wind is crazy, the sands ate crazy too. But it was an amazing view there. Our shoes were full of sands at that moment but was interesting.
