I can't remember when I last had a meal so good. Relaxed quality. Highly recommend. Unfortunately, we live in New Zealand, so will be a long time before we get to experience again, but will be top of the list if things to do when we are next in the UK, not just next time we are in Norwich. We were impressed. We enjoyed the food. It was obvious the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. We ordered from the set menu, 3 courses for £30pp. I had the ham hock terrine and my wife the French onion soup to start, we both enjoyed these. We had the duck for main, which was cooked perfectly, it fell apart in the mouth. We also shared some chips, they were very good. For dessert we had the dark chocolate and amaretto delice, this was amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere quiet and calm. Food is expensive here, but portion sizes are good and food quality is to a good standard. We would recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

To be honest this is a very overrated venue. Low end service, no product expertise. The food was poor for what it was trying to portray. If you charge the price or hint Michelin, then walk the walk,if not, stick to the pub grub that you really are ! Went to the 'cottage ', Thorpe St Andrew, on Sunday, fed three more adults and three children with double drinks for £30 more. Value for money, service, and food expertise I'll go to the cottage. I'm still looking for a top end restaurant in Norwich, watch this space X Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person £70–80 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
