This is a hidden gem on the hill. The ambience, the whole view of the city is beautiful. Sunset makes it even more charming! The food is nothing special but the ambience makes it totally worth it. The staff is very friendly and warm. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person ₱800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Only took 2 photos of our food. Food is pricey, minimum meal is ₱499 without drinks. Taste? Not so good, I’d rather eat on Mary Grace since it is the same price but more serving. Blueberry yogurt drinks, too sweet. The place is cool and the ambiance is excellent. You will only look forward to the overlooking view. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ₱600–800 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Iced Caramel Macchiato
Waited more than an hour to be seated. Coffee is not good. Had hawaian pizza but taste not worth for a its price. Chicken inasal texture was like a sand after bite. Bagnet was good crispy and juicy Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ₱400–600 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bagnet with Bagoong Rice
For the price, food is nothing special, do they even know the taste of truffle? Singapore and Thailand's version of truffle pizza or anything truffle are WAY more flavorful. Also their caldereta meat are tough and hard to chew, do they even have pressure cooker? I wonder.. Don't get me started w/ their overpriced drinks, coco, chatramue and highlands coffee did it better. Your really "paying" for the view and not for the "food". To their credit, the rice and dessert are good but again effing too OVERPRICED. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
First, the location is majestic! The view is really worth visiting for. (4/5) However it would have been better if they are more responsible to clean the area around their restaurant. The service is good. The staff are very attentive and swift. The food is great but quite pricey for the amount of serving.. The truffle pasta is superb which costs ₱400+ good for 1 person. For the coffee, I did not like the coffee. The quality of beans used is not it. I hope they can improve this area. Went here just to see the place and to get some snaps so I would be neutral with the food. The road to get to this place is not for the faint hearted. It's a long continuous ascent with no stop or leveled area. I definitely would not recommend this for anyone with low power vehicles/motorcycles. Also, there are no street lights or road lights to guide you so your headlights should be clear and bright. When you arrive at the village gate, you have to leave an ID and by the time you will exit, you need to show a receipt where you dined in. Otherwise, there's a ₱300 village fee. Escalera Cafe is a nice place and may have the best city lights view. It's perfect for romantic/scenic dinner dates. The design would probably amaze anyone to imagine how the place was carved out from the peak of a steep slope. You may expect the menu to be pricier than usual budget cafes. Just think that you're paying for the view not the food. Service Dine in Price per person ₱200–400 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
we visited last sunday and before we can be seated, we lined up for like 20 minutes. you will be given a menu once you have your seat and what's surprising is... you have to get down and go to their counter to order your food. 😬 it did bother me a little and with their price point i guess it's just right to have someone get the orders given they have a lot of staff. what we ordered: ☕ french vanilla (2/5) it costs me ₱195 but tastes worth like ₱20. there are better coffee than this. coffee was bland, and all i remembered tasting was ice. melted ice water to be exact. 🥝 kiwi guava (3/5) this one tastes great at first but loses its flavor as you finish the cup lmao, flavor was blasting then suddenly... it's just water with unidentified flavor. 🍝 aligue pasta (5/5) this, i enjoyed eating so much especially when i squeezed the lemon. amps up all the flavors! i also requested for chili flakes and they heavens they have it. 🍗 rosemary chicken (—) no comment for this, i wasn't able to taste it cause his was my bf's order. all in all, Escalera Café is overpriced. i don't know if i just paid for the view but at least i got to try dining with them. will i go back? i'm skeptical. i'd rather go to Mary Grace since they almost have the same prices with very different food quality. The place is cozy and refreshing, the staffs are friendly and the view is amazing. The reaturant is really instagrammable lol. We arrived there on their opening hours, 4pm, it's hot during those hours, they couldny put the roof down cause it will hide the view. I think the place was ideally be visited by sunset to nighttime. The food was great too but really pricey. I dont think they have sulit foods lol, meaning meal=price. We were surprised actually cause other restaurants with this price have a big servings but what they have is normal. Maybe the prices includes the scenic perks of the resto. We will visit next time they have their renovations finished. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person ₱400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
