My family and I dined at Emperor’s Wok on a Sunday (New Year’s Eve) afternoon for the Yum Cha Dim Sum. The first thing I noticed was this restaurant has a great Asian atmosphere. The person serving us was named Zoysa and he was very personable and friendly. He encouraged us to try everything on the Yum Cha menu so that we would know what we liked the next time we came. I’m glad we listened to him, some of our favorite items were: - Sweet Corn Crab Meat Soup - Fried Vegetable Spring Roll - Har Kau - Steamed Siew Mai Pork & Prawn One of the best desserts I’ve had in SL was the Chilled Sago Mango with Vanilla Ice Cream, that was great! Also, a special thanks to Romesh for helping us get a table on a really busy day. We have no complaints at all about this restaurant, everything was great and we will be back again soon. First of all, have to thank Hilton for bringing back an authentic Chinese restaurant to Sri Lanka. I never have such joyful, contented Chinese food in any hotel until tonight. I went alone, I finished half of the Peking duck, two dimsums, one vegetable, one corn soup. I was so full but I really couldn’t hold myself to finish them all! The Peking duck! OMG! Really OMG! The best of the best in Sri Lanka! Crispy skin, juicy meat! Wrapped them up with the fresh cucumber and the special sauce. I couldn’t stop! It worths every penny you pay! I never thought of going to Hilton for Peking duck until an ad popped up on instagram! Chef Ming is a gem for bringing all these Chinese dishes to Sri Lanka! I’m from Hong Kong so I think I’m qualify of saying these Chinese food is really 100% perfectly authentic and ALL TASTE MARVELLOUS! I tried the all you can eat yumcha as well. Needless to say- definitely will go back again and again and again. All you guys just need to bring an empty stomach, get ready to load with good food, then leaving the restaurant with a happy, contented, full stomach! Best for authentic Cantonese food in Colombo. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It was a nice restaurant to have a quick dinner the staff members that work here are charming and welcoming which is nice they also serve you tea once you are seated in an interesting way which I won't spoil for you and the food service is relatively fast. You don't have to wait that long. The only downside here is that the water you get is filtered chlorine water which is not advisable for drinking. In my opinion, that and the food prices are a tad bit high for the amount and quality of food served. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and even has a bar. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed

I love the atmosphere of this place. The food was really good, even though the prices are on the higher side. They welcome you with a nice green tea. I especially loved their Dim Sum, especially the Char Siu Bao. When it comes to mains, Fried Rice Gindara will suit Sri Lankans more, and the Yang Zhou fried rice was good too. They are open to skipping certain ingredients on request, like pork or seafood. They also have a private room if you're dining as a group. The service was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation before visiting. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person Rs 5,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Fried Rice
Beautiful restaurant and great service ! Carol (the lady who served us food) was very nice and helpful with selecting food through the menu. They did not take alot of time to serve but while its being ready it was a nice place to have a chat while having a warm cup of tea. Food was great... I means tasty and looks good. I was abit worried that it might be a little too spicy but I guess those red chillies you see on the plate did not make our side dishes too hot. Overall its good ! Desert options are limited but the highlight for me was the chocolate pudding with coconut ice cream which is ❤️😭 Yah so thats how it was

A good experience of Chinese / Hong Kong cuisine if you haven’t had it before. However might not be the real deal if you had the authentic experience of Chinese food before. Great flavours though and the service was alright. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Recommended dishes Cantonese Braised Beef

Went to Emperors Wok for the first time to celebrate my birthday. But there was a worm in broccoli in one of the dishes we ordered.spoke to one of the women there and she took the veggie away and a chef came back and conveniently claimed it’s a piece of garlic and walked away (which is definitely not ), also I wasn’t in a mood to dispute back as I didn’t want to ruin the evening further which was already ruined .disappointing part is none of the staff bothered to apologies or doesn’t seems to be even concerned other then removing the charge of the dish from the bill as if incidents like that are normal there. However expected way better customer service from Hilton at least in a food and safety concerned situation like this. Just disappointed ! Emperor’s Wok is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Colombo which is located in Hilton. The manager Asanka and the gentleman who served us Shellat was really cordial and hospitable. He recommended dishes as per our likings and he knew what he was doing. We ordered Negroni and Green tea Martini, both were Gin based libations. That was the first time I had a drink with green tea and I thoroughly enjoyed every sip. And the Lychee martini was so good as well. For Starters we had dumplings; Shanghai pork dumplings, Chicken Siu Mai with scallop and Chicken Char Siu Bao BBQ bun which were a treat to our mouths. For mains we had the Hong Kong seafood noodle with decent amount of shrimps and cuttlefish and Shellat customized Chilli Chicken for us which was spicy and easy on the sauce. Then we opted for Yang Zhou fried rice with char sui chicken and shrimps and stir fried pork with dried chilli and cashew nuts. Loved the interior, friendly staff and the delicious food. Highly recommended for a date night, a family gathering or a catchup sesh with your co workers.
Food was absolutely delicious! The portions were also quite good. It’s a bit onto the pricey side but that’s expected at Hilton. Amazing service by the staff! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person Rs 5,000+ Recommended dishes Braised Pork
