Amazing place that will now be our go to every time we are in the city. Incredible food, coffee and service. The coffee was one of the best I’ve had and came out right away, the food was incredible and different and quick. The staff were super friendly and on to it as well. Love itttt :)

Went there three times in two days because of the spectacular experience. Love every dish they served. The flavor and the portion were perfectly designed for me. As a foodie who love Gin, this is the place I cannot miss!!! Btw, their coffee also tasted good....They are good at everything!
Lovely dining. I really appreciated the non-alcoholic options. Highly recommend sitting outdoors on a sunny day for the best experience.

This is a tapas style restaurant and we ordered almost every dish on the menu as we were a group. Without exception, every dish was superb. The cocktails were delicious too. With great service as well what more could you want? Highly recommended.

Went here for dinner and it was outstanding! Every dish was delicious, service was excellent. Best meal out I’ve had in a long time. I only wish I lived in Nelson so I could go back sooner 😌

My partner and I both had the minute steak for brunch. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the focaccia was yum, and they provided GF bread for the misso. The host was also super kind, friendly and polite.

We had an extended family event in the back room and it was just perfect. All food, beverages and gin were excellent. A plate each with sides was a great lunch. Everything was delicious. Staff were lovely and attentive. Thank you for setting the room up for us and making the day special :)

A near-perfect evening with outstanding food and attentive, nicely timed service. The score on atmosphere is simply because it was a quiet night. While some may prefer this, we like the "buzz" of a full and busy eatery.
The Cocktails are very good but we would have liked at least a few Nelson Wines on the list, which is disappointingly lacking in them.
That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Eight Plates presents wonderful food and value...and we'll definitely be returning.
