Really nice rooms & friendly staff. Bed had a hair on it, otherwise room was spotless. 2nd day screen mirror function in tv disappeared, technician came to check couldn't solve. In the end figured out myself. Anyone who needs, goto smartapps - browser - menu in remote - support - device list - screen mirroring. 3rd day we had Internet problems. Internet was slow even when hotel was nearly empty. Staff mentioned it was provider issue.
I was in town for a conference. Jet lagged and exhausted, sometimes you don’t feel like venturing around a new city on your own so you just go downstairs to the hotel bar instead.
Well turns out this was one of the nicer hotel bars that I’ve been to and could very well stand on its own as a stand-alone bar - at least in the town where I live. So I’d even hesitate to call it a “hotel bar”. It does have that chill vibe that hotel bars often have but that’s not a bad thing. I don’t know how frequently live music is played but on the last Wednesday night of my trip, there was a fantastic keyboardist/singer complete with bongos!
The bar has a nice selection of spirits and several tasty beers on tap (Wine too but I hadn’t tried any). Most importantly, the bartenders were friendly and professional. Remembered your name, your typical drink, and took everything in stride - even when some patrons were being jerks.
Zain, the bartender who served me the most frequently was always experimenting with new drinks and spins on old classics and kept things interesting despite me returning and basically ordering the same drink every night or so.
Would definitely return - even if I was staying in a different hotel down the street.
