What great little place . Coffee was delicious and my free range scrambled eggs, spinach and mushrooms (no Bread) by request, was beautifully cooked. Thank you for a flavorsome breakfast. Check out the photos of the toilet, how cool is that.
Had vegan pie and oat milk cappuccino on a comfy sofa in front of the cafe with view on Mt Taranaki. Lovely owner, cosy atmosphere, hidden gem in a quiet village. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely scones really soft, nice pies but sadly not really home made as they use cans for the vegetarian pie. Really original atmosphere and friendly staff.
Cute little cafe and friendly staff! The chilli bean, corn and cheese pie was amazing! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

I just stopped for a takeaway coffee, but people were dining in a large group and the food looked very presentable. Two young ladies were sitting on a cool old couch out front, and when the smoothies arrived, they looked very happy. The service was very friendly. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is the place to go in Okato. No question! Friendly, homely owners. Coffee always works. Quirky interior, and if you want outside seating you can have it. I've stopped here a few times and have always enjoyed the vibe. Last time was on the way home from a group ride to the lighthouse, and 45 minutes here absolutely sorted us and put us on the road (in the train) rejoicing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is lovely little Cafe with few "crafty" surprises inside. There were only two working and lots of customers so they struggled to keep up. Nice seating outside including a comfy couch. This is a place where you go if you aren't in a hurry.
