First time visiting with my family! A fantastic dining experience at Don Royale. The pizza was mouthwatering, and the Timpana was equally delightful. The flavors were spot on, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving an Italian cuisine! A lovely restaurant overlooking St George's bay we had a table on the terrace taking advantage of the lovely night views and the nice breeze. Good service from all the staff especially Stephanie, lovely pizzas and a really good espresso to end. A nice touch with a food bank donation on the bill as well. Fabulous Italian restaurant. Reasonable value, quality ingredients and large portions. The Ragu I had was heavy on the beef rather than tomato (not my preference) and had a slight kick but that's merely how I prefer it. The ambiance was lovely with individual table lamps and accommodated me without a booking. I eat Italian a lot and this is highly commended. The prices were really affordable, starters and main dishes were very tasty, the fries were super crunchy and nicely served, yet our panna cotta tasted weird. We asked for burger cut in a half, because the portions were large Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

We have eaten here for dinner twice in 3 nights. Their Calamari Fritti (starter dish) is superb. We ordered it both nights. It is perfection. We highly recommend it. Ragu Royale (pasta dish) was also a highlight for us. And if you book a table early, there is a 2-for-1 happy hour from 5-7pm for selected drinks. Friendly staff. Avoid this place!!! The service is slow but the waiters are nice, the chef however is a joke!! I ordered a Margarita with mushrooms and it had no tomatoe sauce on it just loads of cheese. I politely asked for the pizza to be sent back at first they sent me a pot of cold tomatoe/ pizza sauce with the original pizza. I asked for it to be remade and the picture shows the level of quality to expect it was over loaded in tomato sauce. It tasted awful, I tried to eat it being so hungry but just left and went back to my hotel. Considering this restaurant is part of the Corinthia - the hotel I stayed at I expected more.

7 of us had dinner there last night without the reservation. We got a table inside which was OK, but the atmosphere didn’t make me feel as if I was in Italy. Our waiters were attentive, the service was quick and efficient but it didn’t have the wow-factor for sure. Rather poor selection for vegan/vegetarian guests. The food we had (ragú, seafood spaghetti, seafood pizza, salads) were tasty and served hot.
