We haven't dined here in years and we enjoyed it more so this time round than the last time we were here. Food was great with excellent service from the staff. Quite a large restaurant so plenty of room to sit without being surrounded by others. Very reasonably priced...We loved it and will definitely be back! A waitress spilled hot sauce all down my floor length skirt today while I was sitting in my seat waiting for food, and the manager just shrugged, said accidents happened, and did nothing else - and now I can’t get the stain out. I know service workers don’t have it easy and I’m young enough to look like a pushover but come on… it’s a very noticeable stain.

Came for a friend's birthday dinner and the waitress today was so much more lovely. The atmosphere was really nice and chill, and really enjoyed it. Wanted to get ribs but saw a pic and wasn't super excited for them so went with something new! Ordered the pork belly tacos and baja steak taco for $4 taco night! Had a sip of the passionfruit mocktail and it was average, slight zing mixed with a mint but not something I'd reach for again. The server was not very pleasant and my plate had mayo on the bottom, not really pleased. Pork belly tacos were tasty and the pork pretty tender and not dry. Could have had a bit more flavour explosion though when compared with the steak) but not bad! The beans were smoky on their own, but when paired with the fatty pork it worked really well. Baja steak tacos were fantastic! The Siracusa and tender beef was an exquisite flavour, and super flavorful. Would recommend! Initially I thought the tacos were quite small as a main but it did me well and I was satisfied. Jalapeño and cheese poppers were a delight, crisp and crunchy outside with a cheesy centre. The cheese wasn't super stretchy but more creamy which I appreciated. The flavor was more creamy than salty which makes it taste great in its own, but I couldn't taste the jalapeño, Crispy chicken wings; honesty drawn to this because I love anything with the word crisp. They were tender and lived up to their name; crispy, but nothing super special. I would still prefer kfc wicked wings over these! Not awful or anything like that though, just not special. Overall the experience was better, still not stoked with their customer service but definitely more open to Mexican food now! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Pretty darn average meal today. Seems like we all got really different levels of meals and differing amounts of salads or chips. One waiter was very smiley, the other could have cut you in half with her stare. The chimichanga was nice but super spicy. Very busy considering the average level of service. I couldn't see any kids menu except chips and sauce. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Great food. I love the chicken with chipole dip for starter, very cripsy and well seasoned. Big portion for mains so it might be better getting 2 starters + 1 main to share between 2 people. Best food I had in Dunedin so far 👌

Far from an authentic mexican experience, food generally lacks fresh mexican style ingredients and flavours, however fills the gap. However, centrally located in cbd with a bar and good atmosphere for group dining. Service Dine in Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We come here every 6-12 months hoping for a better experience than the last but unfortunately the food is just average at best. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, it was full of dry beans and dry rice, served with an abysmal salad. My advice to the owners is to taste your food, get your staff to taste your food. There is no reason a vegetarian option at a Mexican restaurant should be so lacklustre. There were two of us, and the meal came to $82. Not the most expensive meal but not exactly cheap either, and left feeling very underwhelmed and disappointed. To give credit where it’s due, the staff were friendly and attentive.

Friendly staff, good food and price. Chicken Chimichanga is awesome. I guess Deadpool will like this too. The reason I removed 1 star is a sauce bottle was dirty.

Incredibly underwhelming and flavourless mains. The burrito/chimichanga was literally just chicken and rice in a wrap. No seasoning, no vegetables, no lime, no coriander - no love. Bland bland bland. The culinary equivalent of John Key. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $40–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Jalapeño Poppers

Pretty good. The vegetarian options were good. The usual Mexican menu. The winner was the decor. You can imagine this place going off once covid is gone. Definetly recommend having a meal here.
