The first time we visited De Eend, we had a wonderful experience. The food was great. The second time, the food quality was below average. It seems like, that if the owner is not around, the quality of the food drops significantly. Also on the menu card, it is mention that every main dish includes a potion of french fries. My partner and I ordered each a main dish. When the food arrived, we got only one potion of french fries. We thought the forgot it, therefore we ordered a second one. Unfortunately, we were charged for it. We then had a follow-up with the waiter, he ensured us, that the position which we received was bigger. Therefore, we quickly checked if other people on the surrounding table have bigger potion. It seems like that the potion of french fries always stays the same, does not matter if meant to be for a single person, two persons or even four people.

Beautiful view and location. Lovely people, great service, amazing food, and a really nice price-quality ratio! 5+ stars!!
High-quality culinary food! Main courses are priced around €20 but are definitely worth every penny. Also very friendly and quick service. I would recommend this restaurant if you are on a boat on the Loosdrechtseplassen and want to have a lovely diner.
It's a Beautiful place with lovely staff that a very friendly. Food was amazing. Great flavour !!!! Loved the taste of all the stuff I tried. We will definitely be back. 👍
De Eend is one little jewel between lakes. The place is as authentic as it gets, the stuff is awesome, the food is fun and tasty... Some portions are huge (main courses). We especially liked the lamb, the carpaccio with foie gras and the onion soup. The venue is correct, could benefit from a bit of painting, deep cleaning and updating but on this waterfront location it's acceptable. I would definitely recommend it and will come back.
