After visiting Mellieha Air Raid Shelter, you can look over the menu at this restaurant. If you're a Mediterranean cuisine lover, come here. If hungry, come here for good ribeye, belly pork and scallop pie. It's a pleasant experience to taste perfectly cooked chocolate fondant, vanilla ice cream and panna cotta. The wine list is versatile, every guest can find something that satisfies their taste. You will be offered delicious espresso, hot chocolate or chocolate frappe. Most users indicate that the staff is accommodating. If you want to experience fast service, you should go to Commando. From the visitors' viewpoint, the decor looks nice here. This was our first meal outside of our all inclusive hotel and my gosh it was not a disappointment The food here is tremendous. The staff where really attentive and helpful. We celebrated Valentine's night at Commando which was our first visit. Perfect service and delicious food in a cozy but elegant setting. We had let them know about some specific dietary restrictions affecting my wife and they went out of their way to research and accommodate them with zero fuss. This meal was amazing. Everything we had was so tasty. We had the rabbit croquettes, burrata and scallop ceviche to start. The croquettes were the best I’ve ever had. The mains were just as delightful, we had duck, veal, beef and the mushroom. We didn’t order dessert as we weren’t too hungry although we did regret this. If we visit malta again we will definitely return and get pudding. The staff were lovely and so accommodating, perfect service without being ontop of the table. We had dinner there and it was an out of thr world experience. We had lamb and beef as well as desserts. In fact we came back the next day for a dessert, having dined in another Michelin Bip restaurant for dinner. The service was impeccable and extremely friendly. I think we will think about coming back to Malta even if just to try their new menu. I would give a 1000 stars if I could! I was here last November and it’s such a great place. Very unassuming at first but it turned out to be the best food and overall dining experience I had during my stay in Malta. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had the fish (barracuda I believe) and it was so good! The hot bread that’s offered before the main meal was also great. Brilliant service and atmosphere, as well as food presentation. Unfortunately, I was not overly impressed with the food. Had an amazing here. The food was incredible, the wine list is excellent, and the staff helped make it a fantastic experience. I can't recommend it enough, if you're in Mellieha, make sure you eat here. Nice whiskey selection as well Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First of all, to clarify what is misunderstood by many people, the place got Bib Gourmand, which is between Michelin Plate and Star awards. Secondly, we have spent there an amazing night what was guided by an amazing Serbian waiter (Thank you mate!). He was spot on and paid attention to every little detail. Thirdly, the food was unexpectedly flattering. Snacks: -the Rabbit liver was very interesting, but definitely wont be my favorite. -Eel was also some specialty I haven’t even seen before. Starter: -Macrela was aestheticly served, very tasty soaked in cucumber ketchup.. it was an art on the plate Main: -Beef sirloin was one of a kind, the grain fed beef had significantly different taste than other sirloin i tried before. With snail on the side, it was an excellent composition. -the Lamb, although they had a different part then supposed to have, was still like butter melting in my mouth. Served with mini caprese sauce that was something phenomenal. Coctails were okay, nothing outstanding but its not a cocktail bar afterall. ( we had 2-3 tho) We paid 130€ for this course. Which is a reasonable price for the high quality and experience. Finally, we decided to come back tomorrow, to try other dishes and desserts from the menu. The 2nd day we chose 2 starters: Starter: -sheep cheese, shimeji mushroom tagliatelle which was so rich and creamy. Pasta places in Italy should try catching up. - MILK-FED VEAL RIB, which was served in such composition delivering the perfect harmony of flavors that i cannot describe with words. MUST TRY!!! Michelin star quality. Main: - Fish de Jour, which was already bringing summer vibes in April.Melting Seabass with fresh sea spinach, citrusy sauce with mussel chowder sided with white asparagus. -Pork Loin was a decent piece of juicy meat with the skin burnt, some fermented grapes and lardo on side in agrodolce sauce. Again, piece of art which was presented with the siders. Desserts: - Tea cream with levander powder accompanied with a solid almond cake. - Fig and cacao nib cake with orange sorbet. Both desserts were highly enjoyable. All in all, it was an amazing experience. I have visited many quality (even michelin plate and star) restaurants at different places all around the globe but this hidden gem is really a one I would come back anytime. Hope they will strive to get that star in the future. Recommendation: One thing that could be improved, is the aesthetic of serving (more colors, well thought concept)! Nice little restaurant. Staff Is friendly and knows what they are doing. Dishes look great and taste good. Main dishes are pretty large here in size so we shared a dessert. Service was pretty fast. Recommended.
